I'm far from an expert but Crane was Sigel's mentor. Crane's run wasn't as "clean" as Sigel's run but remember it was different equipment. Crane had the old slower cloth. You could see on a couple shots he really hammered the cue ball to break the cluster open.
Crane twice found dead balls in the rack to continue his run one of which is here...

...and had to create a shot to get out here which in my opinion was the best shot of the run....

There must be a mistake. is that the same Mike Sigel who's not in the hall of fame? That guy can't run no 150 and out
I love watchin' Crane play. Its almost creepy. Like watchin' an old horror movie and the undertaker puts down his tools and runs 150.
Talking about Crane.
It was the early '60s and he played in a straight pool tournament in Elizabeth N.J.
I had a front row raised seat and watched him run 141 balls.
Also getting back to Mosconi's comment about Mikes 150 ball run of too many crossing patterns.He was never known for giving complements to other players.
But he did complement me after I played him an exhibition game once.
He said i did a good job of racking the balls. :thumbup:

Grady certainly offers some nice historical points, but so many times he tries to guess how a rack will be played and is dead wrong. Ervolino at the end was great. He called Sigel's side pocket break while Grady said it would never happen. Weenie Beanie is fabulous as a commentator though.
Funny in the first rack you hear them talking about the shot clock and how it speeded up play and how important that is if the game is going to become entertaining.. fast forward to today and you have a 9 ball tournament where people are play 4 hour races to 10 lol

so people click to the next match or highlght video after watching 4 minutes
before we ordered the tape, waited for it to come from USA then watched it over and over to pick up something new everytime
