This may be a stupid question but how do you guys sign your cues? I mean what type of pen or do you use transfer paper. I have tried several pens and I am not happy with most of the results. Thanks.

I quit using a pen. I use a freshly sharpened pencil and it can be seen on any and all materials used in a cue. I usually sign on the black butt cap.

Consider making an iron on transfer with your laser printer.
Anything you can print, a mirror image of course, with a black laser printer can be heat transferred to maple or other materials. Just use a soldering iron with a flat round tip. You can get them at any hobby or craft store.

I use the same pen as Dennis Searing. Its the excellent Sakura Pigma Micron 05. I like the .20 to .25mm line width. The .45mm is nice if you'd like it bolder. They can be found at most any hobby-craft shop.

I like my bumper laser-etched so the other guy can see my logo while my player is running out on his azz.
The signature with the year, I don't get.
What if the cue needs refinishing. Which ALL cues except wall hangers eventually need.
Its not that hard to save. Just takes a little extra attention.
