George, there was a thread on here about this. Here is what I bought from Enco

Product Description: Paint Markers - Fine Point
Color: Black
Tip Type: Fine
VA317-5654 $13.22 ea

The ZIG Millennium .005 is what I have used for years with great results.

LOL, my partner Rich signed every RT Cue we ever put out. My handwriting is like a 2 year olds. It was put on inbetween coats. A fine tip calagraphers pen was used. Many times it had to be wiped off with light solvent and redone.

I use the Micron pens too. I have been able to find them locally at arts and crafts stores like Michael's. Seems like I also saw them at Hobby Lobby. I sign between coats as tom mentioned, It makes It easier to wipe down if You make a mistake. If You sign & make a mistake straight onto the wood then It may not wipe completely out.

I have used a regular pencil on ebony with good results. It does not work as well with oily woods or light woods like maple.
