Silent pool balls

Great find, Bob!

Well if you’re a sound guy on a movie, then you probably really like this.

If you’re a bar pool player, you’re likely thinking, “Uh, what tha heck?”

The punch line at the end is great ! Nice find Bob.

That is hilarious I have seen that bag and many sitcoms those balls will certainly help my Jump game

If you want a silent table, find and buy a 9' Connelly Ultimate pool table with the 2" slate. It's crazy, you never hear a thing when the balls strike a rail.

One of the things that attracted me to pool is the sound of the balls colliding. It is a very specific sound not made by anything else I know of.

Not my cup of tea. I am curious as to how they play, out of curiosity only. I cannot imagine they would not play substantially different for Aramith.

Well, these balls would definitely end the debate on Diamond table cushions! Hell, you wouldn't even need cushions.

Makes me wonder when I see a shot taken by an extra in the background of a movie or show, did the balls act weird and I didn’t notice?

I could use those balls in the morning. Even though my table is in the basement hitting those balls before 8am will wake up my wife.
Look for soundproofing on this forum. Also try white noise. Run the A/C fan. Run a bathroom fan upstairs and one downstairs. Get a big fan that makes a good amount of noise. Your wife will sleep through the other sounds....

I cant sleep if it's too quiet. I have to have white noise of some kind.

If this is you, try this one....
On YouTube there is a white noise video of B17 Bomber engines cruising along at altitude. It sounds cool and calming at the same time.

Anytime I see people playing pool in the background of a show or movie, my eyes are fixed on the table and the shooter. They are pretty much always awful and don't even come close to pocketing the ball they're shooting at. Maybe it's because they are shooting with painted racquetballs and thus can't possibly be accurate.
