I just ordered a new 9ft pool table, I have decided on simonis 760 cloth, but now i'm stuck on which color blue is the best? I'm thinking powder blue but i can't find many opinions on this color. Can anyone comment on the powder blue in general say compared to the tournament blue. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

tournament blue is the only choice ...... Just my opinion its what I have on mine and I love it.

Congrats on your new table!!

Unless you are trying to match the drapes tournament blue is the color you want.

Going for fast, huh? 760 is way faster than 860, but I'm sure you know that.

Enjoy your new table.

Love my new tournament blue 860 ... wouldn't go with any other color unless the wife was being picky. She actually loves the tourny blue also even though she didn't think she would.

14.1 player? 760 scares the heck out of me with its speed, 860 is hard enough for me to get used to. :)

Enjoy with whatever you decide to go with!

I chose Electric Blue because it's more contemporary with current home furnishings and colors. It's got a slightly more subdued color than the Tournament Blue. I like the medium colors on cloth because it's easier to get the lighting right and they contrast enough with the balls. The negative is they show stains more if liquid gets on them. Remember, any color you choose will fade with use and exposure to light.

If you call Simonis, they will mail you color samples to help match your decor.

As far as playing on it goes, it's terrific. Here's my table.

Very nice room!! Is the little dish on the floor in the back where you keep your beer while you are playing ?? JK My dog thinks he owns my pool room to. I would have named him "sharky" had I known this.
Awesome job!!

If you ARE going to go with Blue... it has to be tournament blue. That's the only option of blue's. I'm more of a tan fan myself but that's just my palate choice. I like the neutral colors. But the tournament blue really pops and it is really easy to see balls/shots on.

I use to go with electric blue and it is a good choice but I'm sold on tournament blue now. It just pops and makes the table look sweet. The balls show up great on both colors.

i'd say it depends upon the table itself. and perhaps its surroundings. what kind of wood is your table going to be made of?

i've had the Electric Blue, Powder Blue, and Tournament Blue on my GCIV. the GCIV is the mahogany and from now on out Powder Blue will be all i ever put on the table.

speaking of which, i need to call the guy from Indy and have the table recovered in Powder Blue before the so-called Holiday rush sets in and he tells me he doesnt have time.

Actually, Bengal sisters. They own the house but generously let us live here if we feed them.

DCP -can you put a pic up of your table in powder blue I'd love to see it

not sure i can find a pic, i'll have to look. its been three years since i had powder blue. when i remodeled my garage/apart the table was moved upstairs. at that point it went from powder blue to simonis green. six months later it went from simonis green to tournament blue.

i'll see what i can do.
