Solution. Yes lets live in the solution. I would love to do it but am sooo busy that I too can not show up on a regular basis. Why don't we all just monitor ourselves like always. We sure can flame people like always and try to be supportive if the pendulum goes to far the other way.

Why not just shoot someone and make an example?

Well, the other day, I responded jokingly in a thread, "As long as it's not Happy Hour" and you not only thought it wasn't funny, but you went off on an AA tangent about the evils & addiction of alcohol.

I'm not certain how I would feel with you as moderator, although this is not a formal objection.

It wasn't a tangent. I'm not sure if you remember but someone specifically took a shot at Eddie earlier and mentioned AA. You were jumping on the pile and that is a sensitive subject, not just for me, but for many people. (I know this based on the responses I got to that post from other forum members... in case you don't believe me) I don't really "get" your humor often, but I don't see what that has to do with my moderation ability. I think I expressed my concern objectively.

It also strikes me as odd that you would give me rep and make a sincere comment to me there, then bring it up here as an issue.

My point in that post (which apparently was missed) was that there really isn't anything funny about jumping on a bandwagon and calling someone an alcoholic, no matter how crazy their "marketing" may be. You wouldn't say it in person, so don't say it here...

I may not be the perfect moderator, but who would be?

i dont see what the problem is here, i have been on boards for 10 years, some bigger some smaller, I have seen some fall apart, others succeed. AZ seems to be growing at a reasonable rate considering the poor state pool is in and the direction its headed,

If it aint broke dont fix it, the last thing we need is more Chief's than Indians. Based on my experience on boards above and being active on 2/3's of them, the others I just lurked, I see no problems here and personally dont think AZ needs any change except a social forum in addition to the NPR(only because NPR is to political, religous) the additional forum would eliminate the threads in the pool forum of pics of my girl friend-that I was responsible, had it been in the NPR it would have never been seen, I hardly go to the NPR those guys argue to much, so a social lounge forum wit hwhat we have would solve the issues not more police.

I'm aware of the seriousness of alcohol consumption and I meant my sincere comment that I left when I gave you Rep for your heartfelt post.

Here's what concerns me about YOU being a moderator..... you wrote, "I don't really "get" your humor often, but I don't see what that has to do with my moderation ability."
A moderator that 'doesn't get my humor' (as Mr. Wilson does) may have a very low tolerance for my posts and my days here may be numbered. There actually ARE members that 'get my humor' and I would much prefer one of them as a moderator.

How about something simple where NO flaming is allowed, you give your opinion, I give mine and it actually becomes social interaction like we do every day of our lives with coworkers, friends at the pool hall or just meeting someone in a coffee shop and talking about our views of ??????????? WHATEVER
I've never gotten into a discussion at any pool hall in the US and been flamed or attacked like I have been on this forum for my opinion, its not right that it should happen here, why? because no where else I go in society does this happen..... it happens so much here now...that I won't say anything unless I'm perfect, and that ell never happen.

if they'd continue posting, jcin, smorg, rib & lodini; anyone or all get my vote (plus a few more but the list just gets too long). that opinion is not based on this thread one pizzy bit, nor is the one of your candidacy.
