Since the Jay was stealing thread got locked

Yes, I really am Jay Helfert! I was too stupid to come up with a clever name when I started out on here. I guess I could have used Toupee Jay (like I do on Poker Stars), but everyone would have known it was me anyway.

To be blunt, I'm older, a little wiser, and I've been through a lot of wars, and survived. You can read about a few of them in my upcoming book. Yes, I am working on it. I don't really get too bothered by what someone writes on the internet. I have found over the years if you give someone enough rope they will eventually hang themselves. Kind of what happened to McWoofer or whoever he is.

I don't even know the guy, but got him an inch away from blowing ten grand to me. He backed out at the last minute, but remains pissed that I called him out. No big deal really. Just another game that didn't come off.

Yes, I do like Mike Dechaine. I think he's a good kid and a great pool player. I like his cockiness and his big heart. Pool needs a few more guys like him. He can play and has some personality. A slightly chunkier Alex if you will. :)
That said, I am not part of anyone's camp but my own. I pick my sides based on who I think will win. I liked Mike in his match with Chris, and bet a few dollars on him. No big deal.

As far as Chris is concerned, I've never heard boo from him. If he wants some goofy guy to post for him, that's his choice. He isn't that naive. I have nothing against him, and think he is a terrific player himself. I do like the fact that he gets out there and chases games for serious money. Not many like him around anymore.

More water under the bridge to me. No harm, no foul! I'm ready for my next game, and it ain't gonna be with McWoofer. :D
Where's that Gingerbread Joey at anyway? :)

Saw, can you verify if that was actually Chris in the chat the last two nights? I believe it was but want to be sure. I did see someone signed in as 'Bergman' but when I called them out as an imposter they quickly signed off. I am 99.9% sure of the person that was signed in trying to be Justin - and this someone has been banned from AZ multiple times.

Yes, it was the real deal Bartram..... JCIN and Nasty can confirm that because they gave him the login.

Sorry, I haven't got much sleep the last two nights because I stayed up late watching TAR. And now this... I may not get a good nights rest for a few weeks. :boring:

I haven't been playing at all, working on my book and other things. My next trip East will probably be to the Open in October. I'll meet you at Q Master. Bank Pool and One Pocket, one set each big boy!

Uh oh... On the 1 year anniversary of this historic matchup. And Gingerbread Man says he is bringing his OWN cue this time, Joyboy.

Action!

I hope I'm who I think I am.

I can confirm it too. I mentioned a particular table in Hall of Fame in Michigan that he played T-Rex on. He immediately talked to me about how tough it breaks and a few other things. Then I knew it was Chris...Tom

First it was Asbani trying to get me to go to the U.S. Open and now you. It was fun last year just spectating but I am not sure if I will make it this year. If I do, I will be sure and post here on AZ Main Forum so you won't forget. :D

Everybody wants a piece of JoeyA. :poke:

Damn, that was a long ass post! All of it is very true, but I think people still need to be aware of the point of Jamie's post. Obviously he could have said it a little differently, but according to many accounts, Dechaine acted like a punk, before, during, and after the match. Chris never let it bother him, played great and drilled the kid. It is just a shame that Chris comes out looking bad, when this couldn't be further from the truth. The truth is, people keep talking about Mike Dechaine and how great he plays and that he has a backer that will bet seven digits....Yada Yada Yada. When it got right down to it, between the whole Dechaine camp, all they could come up with a measly $7000. TAR was initially going to make them forfeit the $1000 that was posted. This would have gave a black eye to the Action Report, all though they did absolutely nothing wrong. Chad was on the phone with everyone he knew trying to drum up additional action on this punk. Chris, being the nice guy and gentleman that he is, lets them play for the money they have, and does not just take the $1000. So all you people that got to watch the live streaming, FOR FREE, should be thankful to Chris, not upset with him because he was a little hot for what happened and let Jamie post on his behalf. Get over it!!! It wasnt even that bad. The only people that have any right to be even a little upset, would be Helfert and Dechaine. I am pretty sure Jay and Chris have already worked it out. As for Dechaine, if he doesnt like it, maybe he can practice up and get his ass back up to the table, if he can get his millionaire backer to find 5 digits, and try not to get robbed after doing so! I would venture to say that Chris might just be able to find enough money to cover any action that they might have, and if the millionaire tries to high roll him, all I have to say is be very careful. Your just might get your action covered.
Couldn't have said it any better thanks Chips. btw this is Wong

Hey Ray - am I understanding correctly, that your offer for Bartram to play Justin in KC $20K - $15K 10 ball @ Side Pockets has been rescinded???

????????

Chris Bartram has no bones to pick with AZB other than graditude. He was the recipient of the AZB award 2007 at DCC. I talked to him at Memphis Super Bowl tour. an he told me that he had lifetime paid entry into DCC. I think Chris is a pretty cool guy that has been bitten by the gamgling bug. He has a lotta up an downs but is always in action an giving it 100% imho.

I am not rescinding anything. If Justin wants to play, he can play in Columbus Ohio at Sportsmans. If he wants to play even, Chris will come to Side Pockets in Kansas City. My money will be posted in the morning. You all should just come to Ohio, you might win more than you can carry. Alot of dumb go offs here.

No both players should have the comfort of not sleeping in their own beds and not having their own personnel multitude of cheerleaders around for support. I don't remember Columbus ever being in the discussion. Besides I am not a high roller like you, this bet is good enough to have enough fun & make our side happy.

Biloxi is about an hour and a half drive from Metairie, LA and Buffalo Billiards.

Just a thought.
