Singernak

I would never buy anything from singernak unless he agreed to use escrow. I'm not saying he's a good guy or bad guy, just wouldn't buy from him unless he agreed to use escrow. Singernak and I have discussed this at length on other threads.

Taking a quick look at itrader and playing devils advocate the dude "singernak" has done 30 deals here and 3 have left bad feedback......How does one respond to that? Like I said just trying to see where the "one of the good guys" mentality comes from. This deal is possibly issue 4 that we know about.

Search the name and a few other "disparaging" words come up.....As i Said I have no dog in the fight but 30 deals and 3 bad ones that we know of and I would be using escrow for both parties.

Agreed. Proficient has a phenomenal reputation. It makes you question???

Maybe singnerak is worried about the cue being damaged on it's way to the escrow or getting it lost in transaction... There's always the chance of that occurring... Sellers always prefer to have their product with the courier as short as possible.

If it's damaged/lost on the way to the escrow, then it's the seller's fault nevertheless. Sucks to be the seller if that happens. My penny worth of thought.

Regardless, you should try other sellers. I'm sure a lot of dealers here in AZ carry at least a JW with them

Cheers,
Clarence

I had someone recently offer to buy a cue, they asked if it was available, asked for my Paypal info and I marked it sold, a couple days go by and no payment. I contact this person twice and then finally they responded back that they picked up something else but are still on here looking for a cue. I thought about posting negative iTrader but instead just put the person on my $hit list. Most likely down the road I will have another item the person wants and I might have some fun with them by issuing a refund after they send me the dough. :grin-square:

P.S. I have met singernak in person, seems like a good guy, possibly he sold it already but a phone call would be good or something just to let you know and also to be on good terms if something down the road comes up with another cue it might mean a possible sale.

I know the feeling Lenny, I've had about three of deals in the past couple of months that folks have asked for paypal, said money would be in ASAP or first thing next day and nothing. I've got one deal now that the guy said he was purchasing a cue a month ago, twice has stated M.O was in mail and nothing, then stated hadn't sent yet but was. Same person has purchased two other cues or items in this time, I may just keep the cue at this point. Welcome to AZ!

Yeah, it just looks bad when you relist a cue you marked sold, not only that, those days lost where someone else might have bought it. This was cue deal and not very expensive but still it had me a little pissed off but like I said I have a list, checking it twice. :D

Steven, you don't have to worry about ever dealing with me as I have put you on that list, you can't even return my phone calls after trying to sabotage my reputation here.

Here is the email I sent Gerald today, I would like to deal with people I have done business with and have some sort of I trader to go on. As I have expressed if he Ever comes to Vegas he is more than welcome to come to my home and see what cues are available....

Gerald, I am sorry for the late reply. I have been thinking about selling the cue under the terms you have provided and have come to the conclusion that I am not comfortable sending the cue.
*
If you get to Las Vegas and would like to look at the cue and buy it I will make myself available to you.
*
You also said in an earlier conversation that you have a relative here in Vegas, I would be happy to show him the cue in Person so that he may inspect it for you.
*
Let me know if this works for you.*
*
Chris
*
Ps. I wrapped the cue and will send you some hi res pics of the entire cue this evening.
*

His response was this, so just so you know what kind of person we could be dealing with. "ALREADY POSTED A BUYER SELLER NOTICE ON THE FORUM WHEN YOU DIDN’T RESPOND, WILL NOT CONSIDER A DEAL WITHOUT ESCROW."

If the buyer wants an escrow and is willing to pay for it, why will the seller not proceed??

Only thing I can think of is that the is not as described.

The cue is as described other than I had Ariel Carmeli sand down the shafts to get the spots off that were there, he also re wrapped the cue at the same time.

I just have decided I am in no hurry to sell and would prefer to either deal with someone I have already done business with or deal locally here in vegas maybe at the Mosconi cup or at the BCA

prerogative

Seems like it's the seller's prerogative whether or not he sells to a certain buyer as some of you have already mentioned. This is exactly why I like the AZB classifieds; I'm not stuck with a buyer as I would be on an auction site.
Karl

Karl, thanks for your honest opinion. i hope all is well in Oregon.

:):)

Here are the pictures of the JW, i had Ariel Carmeli re wrap the cue and sand the shafts to get the spots off, very nice hitting cue.

It's very easy to condem someone and then mob mentality sets in. Just a possibiliy that you lowballed him or created so much mistrust that he decided to end the sale and communication with you. I am not putting you down but, you have 0 itrader and little experience. I think most AZers would love to hear singernaks side of this story as long as you made this sale public. In some of my sales zero itraders made such lowball offers and demands that they were'nt entitled to any responce. Larry

just so we are clear I agreed to pay the advertised price of $1,650.00 with escrow paid by me, i did not attempt to low ball as i tought the cue was reasonably priced (also because I am new and I dont know singernak I simply tried to protect myself)

I know nothing of i trader, but if you wish to know about my dealings you can ask bill grassley whether or not i am a honest man, i have sold and bought cues from bill over the last few years pricipally because bill is local to the detroit area it is convenient to contact him and arrange for payment.

Gerald, i understand your concern as to not wanting to get burned however, in the end it is my cue and my perogative to sell it to whom ever i wish. you did agree to my asking priice however you insisted on using an Escrow company, and i believe since i have established myself for 6 years and have sold hundreds of cues and other pool products, i have developed a reputation here on AZ.

You can't just come on AZ and try to bash someone because your mad the cue deal didn't work out for you. as far as Itrader goes you need to get some of that.

Regards..

PS with the RED by your name now, you will find it difficult to deal with the " GOOD GUYS" on this forum.

Good Luck in your future dealings here.

Why not just use Bill Grassley as an escrow service, buyer pays escrow fees.

Lenny i mentioned that, however he wanted to use Proficient Billiards becasue they take good pictures and do a writeup on the cue.

The Cue is no longer available for sale.

Gerald, thanks for the very fair reply. It seems as though two honest people tried to make a deal and it turned sour. As they say $hit happens. I'm sure you and Singermark will go on about your business and life will go on. The reason I replied about your posting was because it happened to me. I bought a case on Ebay and a few months later sold it using the same pictures and it stired up a storm. One phrase was( if it were a snake it would have jumped up and bit me). Another low life questioned my honesty by implying hmmmmmmmmm. If they would have taken the time they could have looked up my 300 feedbacks and found a happy buyer and seller, but they would rather attack my character. Larry

I never understood people and there problem with selling something and using pictures from the person you bought it off of, if the item is in the same condition then who cares. Maybe it is just convenient to use the older pictures instead of doing new ones or perhaps the person just takes better pictures.

This is BS and you know it. YOU NEVER CALLED ME!!! And, I don't care if you do or not. You made a threatening comment in another Thread. So,I sent you my phone number in a PM. Anyone who cares to, can search and find the Thread I'm talking about. Just so there is no confusion, my number is (417) 529-7983. And, as I said before, you can call me anytime.

Now, as for sabotaging your reputation, that's BS too. I've never said people should not deal with you. If fact, anybody who is interesting in what you're selling should. But, I recommend who ever does deal with you should use escrow.

As for being on your list, well, some list are good to be on. I just hope I'm at the top and my name is highlighted.

Steven
