Home from our dinner...
Twas a great night with sjm! My goodness, what a treasure to pool he is. He's not only a walking encyclopedia of pool, but a seriously inciteful and sharing man. Although we may disagree on a philosophy of sorts, we can express our thoughts with respect. I think the world of Stu, whom I met on AZ and subsequently at this years Cup. Our passion for pool doesn't cover it...
He can play a little too! He edged me in two short races at Gate City Billiards (I owe him a soda, but he had to pee and only drank one). Then we went to Breakers and played his version of King of the Hill with 5 of us.
The 5 included AZ's EZ Money, fat Albert, DoodySquat, SJM and I. 3 of our ladies were in attendance and the rail was active. Stu stuffed the roll into the Diamond light and we were off.
I didn't have a clue what rules Stu was enforcing. But by the grace of god, I was fortunate to pull the whole $5 from the light. It felt like Sochi.
We had a great dinner afterwards where many pool thoughts and insights were proferred.
Just a heads up... When sjm posts <-- read. Thanks for driving over brother.
Thanks Stu for sharing a wonderful day with us.
Thanks for the great write up Matt. Stu is amazing to hang out with as are you and PL.
All three of you are great ambassadors to this sport and it was way cool to get to watch everyone on the stream.
Hats off to you for putting this together.

Ok, listen up my friends.
In my defense, my suppposed woman, when I was down on the 9, made this noise - it sounded like southern laughter - but in actuality, it was a sharking snort. I lost a freaking soda on my supposed woman's shark? I mean, wtf?
This is what is wrong with pool people.![]()
