What's interesting to me is the health director where I live is about to shut down the schools - again - and has caused other businesses in town to go out of business.

Meanwhile the city just legalized marijuana under the Orwellian term "medical marijuana". There have been volumes written about the medical dangers of smoking and specifically smoking marijuana. Cancer, heart disease, emphysema, traffic accidents, gateway drug leading to addiction to harder drugs.

Same health director didn't say a word about legalizing smoking dope which will kill far more people than the covid. I wonder if covid had been killing 200,000 every year for decades and suddenly this new thing called smoking marijuana came along and people were having deadly medical consequences whether the focus would be in the opposite direction.

Wow, reading your post made me twinge a lot. I had the corona test once, as required before my knee surgery in July. I almost cancelled the whole surgery because I didn't want that test. I know myself and I wouldn't be able to handle that test. I cried during the test, no lie. I wouldn't wish that test on anybody. My biggest fear if Biden makes it through is that he's going to make the whole country test every week.

Yes, the nose test is unpleasant for sure. However I really need to see the specialist and I do tend to get sick easily so I have been willing to suffer through it. Sometimes my seasonal allergy issues are very similar to the early symptoms of Covid too so that puts my mind at ease.

Sir, normally I find your posts illuminating and rational. This one I have to take offense with, as you are sadly misinformed, and the facts do not support your position on marijuana, legal or otherwise. There has never been a single death from smoking marijuana. There have been several studies that show the medical benefits of marijuana, for a wide range of maladies...not to mention uncountable first person users who have seen dramatic relief. Covid-19, on the other hand, is an airborne virus, killing some, maiming others, and others still recover with no ill effects. As far as consequences from "smoking" is concerned tobacco is the evil product here...not marijuana...and those are solid facts.
