Slow Loading Issues Again

I am experiencing random slow loading issues with the AZ Forums again and am curious to know if others are having the same problems? It seems to be across the entire forum and only happening here at AZ. Every other website I visit loads perfectly but not AZ... Hope I am not the only one:(!

Thanks for the replies I assumed it was a widespread issue and hope that Mike can get it straightened out soon.... Seems even more random than before, lol...
 
Is it the same adserver.azbilliards.com issue that people were having before? Or it is the forums themselves?

I do know that a second drive was installed into the webserver that the forums run on and the fresh backups running to that drive could cause some speed issues.

I have had the same issues all weekend also.

Mike, how can we test if its the adserver or something else, to help you with the information? All I know is the forum doesn't load, but I have no idea what the adserver is.

No idea what adserver is either, but I do know that even when I typed out something and tried to click submit reply it was painfully slow.

I am experiencing the same issue.
 
I do not know what the adserver is either LOL. The issues I have seen have been all over the website. Signing in, responding to threads, opening up threads, just about everywhere and totally intermitent.
 
If it matters that one more is having problems, sames issue here, same timeframe (this weekend), across the forum, with posting, opening threads, etc. Totally intermittent though. Sometimes it's as fast as ever, other times not at all or terribly slow...

It is the adserver. If I short-circuit the name resolution for the adserver in my hosts file, the forum loads lightning fast, albeit with no banner ads. If I take that short-circuit out of my hosts file, the forum loads slow -- right at the initial point where the banner ads install as part of the page rendering.

P.S. to the general readership: please do not contact me to find out how to short-circuit the adserver. The proper thing to do is to let Mike effect the needed repairs.
 
Today I was not able to even get to the forums. It would try to load and then go straight back to my homepage without being able to open up AZ at all. So I closed out my homepage and then reopened it using in private browsing and was able to get here. Very strange...
 
Just to add some info, I don't know if its helpful or not...

The same page slowdowns affect the forums when I'm on my iPhone. I have the display setting at the bottom of the forum pages set to "iPhone". I mention this, because in this setting, there are no advertisements at all, as a function of the setting. So maybe this setting turns off whatever "adserver" is, I don't know. But the slowdowns still occur on the iPhone. Just some more information for you regarding the issue.
