Well i hooked up with Abe last year and bought one of his slug doctors.I haven't seen a loose rack since.so recently I decided to tighten my cloth on my table.Had to take off the slug doctor so i decided to draw the lines on the table(head string and foot string) and decided to try my delta 13 again.Well for the life of me i couldn't get a tight rack.I tried and tried but no use.Well needless to say i put the slug doctor back on and i'm back to tight racks everytime.Right now abe has free samples of his slug doctor on azb and you really should try one.what do you have to loose.i love it and you will too.....thanks for listening....rick.

I have a Diamond and Delta13 rack sitting unused under my table. The Slug Doctor is THE solution for tight racks, imo. I'll be a customer for life now --- it's that strong.

Told people about Rack Tight about 2 years ago and nobody thought it was a good idea. Now all you see is how amazing it is... I hate using a rack and i think all serious promotors should use these tight rack system for all of their events. Nothing pisses of good ol Earl than this and that about the rack!!! If everybody gets the same rack everytime nobody can complain.

Well unless Dechaine puts a 11 pack of 10 ball on Earl... Im sure he would ***** about how the rack is too tight and makes it easy to make balls and hold postion. Isnt that why we all love him anyway??

Yeah i was a little skeptical about this product but I figured if he is willing to send me one for free then he must have some confidence in the product. I guess for me it was the thought of putting anything foreign on the table.

I am looking forward to giving this a honest test.

I have to give it 2 thumbs up!
I recieved mine last Friday but didn't have time to install it untill yesterday.
It works great every ball touching.
Abe sent me 2 slug doctor singles. (how long do they last?)
I'm not answering my own question but I would think it would last a long time.

I play on club tables that take some serious stick. They have been tapped. I play 9 ball but most people play 8 ball. Three questions;

1. Will it work on a tapped table?

2. How long do they last?

3. How will 8 ball rack on them if they've been done for 9?

I would say they last as long as you have cloth on your table. I mean you should change your cloth every 6 months to a year tops.

i'll try to answer your q's.if the slug doctor rack is lined up right over the taps it should work just fine.i hade mine on for 6 months and it was still working great,he has an 8 ball adaptor that fits on his 9-10 ball rack.hope that helps....rick.

My biggest question was how does it react to a draw shot when the cue ball is spinning and passes over the spots? Does it skid or does it react the same as the cloth. (kind of a unfair question since some cloths skid, but you know what I mean).

I got to admit though, it seems to be a good solution to an age old problem.

Jesse...Which cloth company do you work for? LOL j/k! Not that I particularly disagree, but room owners would go broke if they had to change table cloth every 6 months. :D

i have not noticed any deflection on slow rollig balls or when i use extreme top, bottom, left or right.mind you i'm drunk most of the time anyway.lol....rick.

Most pool halls that cater to players should change the cloth on the tables at least once a year. Bobby Chamberlain's table at Hard Times gets recovered once every six months due to the use it gets. Will all the straight pool and rotation games played in a six months span it gets pretty beat up

As far as how long the rings will last i really couldnt tell you but im sure after 6 months of constant use you could afford to replace them ;)

I didn't read the other thread about this product. Is it similar to the one that Grace Nakamura sells (which are clear hole reinforcers set on a template that allows the hole reinforcers to stick to the cloth for a perfect 9ball rack?

Oh and about the whole skidding thing.... Ive never seen a ball skid once in the past two years but... Ive seen balls skid more on regular cloth. Clean your table and balls everytime you play and they may never or very rarely slide again ;)
