Gorgeous cue...and for a fine gentleman!:smile:
it's me smokey and that is my new Jim Lee cue...
1st: i want to thank jim...
i just told him i 'wanted' his design But with ivory butt cap and joint and 3/4' ivory ferrules and for sure burl [my favorite wood] and a leather wrap and the rest was up to him.
well he decided; no ivory - well, ok as you wish. and really i already knew him and thought since i always admired his cues [and him as a great person] i didn't want to interfere and give him space to build what he liked. we never even talked about price.
he sent me a PM today asking if i received the package that i had to sign for it [was supposed to anyway], but as usual, they just left it with no request for a sig but it was at my front door. i opened carefully - took it out and i was just in cue heaven; for me it was beautiful - simple - but stunning. and really just amazingly beautiful. and an interesting thing: he said today he wanted to build it in a way that was "my kind of style as he envisioned it and he smacked that out of the park - it is just that and more.
Jim asked me how i liked it in a PM and I just said 3 words: i love it!
2nd: to kevin: you are right and you are wrong:
you are right the cue is gorgeous, but you are wrong as i am not much of a gentleman [as many folks here know]; but thank you for saying so anyway. but if you truly believe that, i will send you a PM with a few stories about me so you will understand that of which i speak is the truth about me. i hope you just take me for my word, i really hate to relive the past.
3rd: trustban, will, Hoosier Jimmyray & Blowfish: Thanks; Jim made me a truly beautiful cue and i couldn't be happier.
4th: just a note to AZ'ers: i have purchased a few cues from fellow AZ cue makers [i think 11 or more], and they are the best cues i own with the exception of 1 of my 2 Carmeli's [but both are great, but 1 of them is just better than the other].
and finally, Jim did such a Perfect cue for me, he knows me more than most and built a Perfect cue for me.
