Lee thats a good looking kit (and priced great) for the do-it-yourself types that maybe don't have a ton of equipment. You've made making a cue pretty simple.:)

I bought one of these sneaky kits....you absolutely cant go wrong with them. I had a great friend of mine put it all together....SK Custom Cues....cant wait to see the end results

afternoon bump....I have a couple sets left and I would like to move them. Get yours today!!!!

Sneaky kits....

Hey I'll take one as long as you can ease my mind on two things... can you tell me whether or not I'm gonna throw this thing on the lathe between centers and have it run concentric and true without a wobble? If you can that would be awesome... I would think this is pretty silly of me to ask, but the last few blanks I've purchsed from schmelke and prather have had centers that certainly weren't actually "Centered" the points ended up being VERY uneven at the end of the day and one of 3 from both companies ended up just going to the garbage because of how off they were (there's only so much you can do sometimes ya know? let me know lee, I look forward to hearing from you. thanks in advance.

ill be glad to put it between centers before shipping also the shafts are dead nuts the points are cnc points which are dead even plus these blanks are almost finish you should have troubles i have 6 left that i am selling we can ship out foirst thing in the am if your interested feel free to pay pal us and we will get this packed yet today thanks.......lee

When blanks are bought from Schmelke there is only one center and that is in the back and will run pretty true. That hole in the front prong is not a center. Schmelke blanks are not made between centers. You must put your own in correctly. I've made around 250 cues from Schmelke S/P blanks and the points are seldom off more than an 1/8 inch. Aligning points up is basic to cue building. You've got to do your part.

Dick is correct concerning the Schmelke blanks...do NOT use the hole in the joint end. Take a close look...the hole is very off center. If you do use it...like the above poster...then yes it will ruin the points. You can fill the hole then make a new center...or as I do...the blanks are normally long enough that you can chop off 1/2" at the joint then make a true center. With a true center correctly made, like Dick said, the points will come out very close.
Sorry to hi-jack your sales thread Lee.

Anybody have an idea of what a cue builder would charge to finish one of these kits out?

this is the work I did on mine yesterday. I really like the way its turning out! Let me know you you think :)
