So Alex is next?

One thing I did notice about Earl's alignment was that he was really set up "deep" for a lot of his power-inside shots (maybe 2 tips or more). It was impressive to watch.

When he was far enough off the rail he would power it through. When tight to rail he would spin the rock more and let the spin do the work. Very effective.

Alex is too nice. He doesn't want to have to deal with Earl's BS. Maybe if he can't get any action, Earl will stop being such a jerk on the table.

This would be a nightmare for Earl. I dont care what kind of table you put Alex on they could play 10ball on a snooker table and Alex will beat him. The one thing that you dont want to do is piss off a lion.

tap tap tap!

I wouldn't. He sharked Shane out of the match from the get go.
I don't even like Shanes game but totally agree with you.Its not worth the money to play such a bi-polar dipshit. To even want to play that guy is stunning.I wouldn't even want Earls money and by acting like that ,to lose a penny to him would be a insult.I couldn't even watch the whole match cause the way Earl goes off I'm really shocked it even played out to the end.Shane should of told him to go **** himself and left.I'll give Shane props for having the patience dealing with 3 days in the twilight zone with such a dink.I've heard people compare Earl to John Mcenroe,I don't even think there even close.John was a professional on the court and he is still one off the court. He had his momments and mostly it was about calls that were actually in and the lines judges called them out.In Earls case he's a pro cause of talent but is a asshole while he's playing and a asshole when he's not. He's the perfect posterboy why pool gets such a bad rep.If Earl gambles with someone that tells him if he freaks out and acts like a dick that he forfits ,I garantee he'll never win a session like that again.Takecare:)

i'd take Dynamite or Alex over Earl on a 10ft.Darren would adapt easily to the 10ft'er imo.Alex would just get inside Earls head and give him fits.

RailDawg...Slow play is a shark move, plain and simple. TAR matches can be played by ANY rules that both players agree to.

Alex would have to find a way to shark him back.
There's no shot clock in TAR matches.
Theres a good place to start.
If Alex plays slow it doesn't bug the fans..., just Earl!
If Earl whines about it sloooooow down even more

Its an awesome match great play and moves!!!

I'm really shocked it even played out to the end.Shane should of told him to go **** himself and left.

There's no way Shane would quit a 10K money match...for any reason.

I don't know how old you are, but you're mistaken. While some may have been "bad calls", many were correctly called, and McEnroe had a fit anyway.

In Earls case he's a pro cause of talent but is a asshole while he's playing and a asshole when he's not.

scsuxci...You sir, are not qualified to make a judgement on whether Earl is an asshole on and off the table. YOU do not know him personally...I do. As has been mentioned by many posters here, Earl can be quite congenial, when you're not competing against him. I am not excusing his behavior in this TAR match, but I will not excuse yours either! :( Next time you want to bash a pro, you might couch your post with IMHO!

Anunnaki...You're showing ignorance here. There are many children, who have been diagnosed by a DOCTOR as having ADD (adults are classified ADHD), for whom a small dose of Ritalin or Adderal is very beneficial. You make it sound like all people who have some kind of chemical imbalance in their brains or bodies, are simply "faking it", so they can have an excuse for behaving badly. That is just not true. Do some research and educate yourself.

Speaking of elementary school. Maybe Earl should be required to take Methylphenidate (Ritalin) when in playing in public tournaments. No need for disciplinary actions or long-term solutions; just drug'em!

Wouldn't if be funny if this was all a show...

I mean, Earl made the 10' Brunswick look like a barbox. Who really wants to play him even for 20k?

But I'll bet that Dippy is not the only man that Alex could find to back him. Many will pay for a chance to sink Earl's battleship. In an even race. On his table. With his rules.

Just imagine the argument Earl must put up when someone asks him for weight... They will hear a velcro ZZZZIIIIPPPP and wind up with an elbow sandbag in their hand. Meanwhile, Earl gets the breaks and the 10. "You shoot straighter'n I do!"

au2ag...Really? I don't recall Earl (or Shane) running many racks, over the course of 3 days on that table. I've seen MANY pros run out entire sets on a barbox (and I have witnessed pros running sets out on 9' tables too). I don't think you're quite accurate with that statement.

"Hyperbole (pronounced /haɪˈpɜrbəliː/ hy-PUR-bə-lee[1]; from ancient Greek ὑπερβολή 'exaggeration') is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device or figure of speech. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is not meant to be taken literally."

Good point, but not the point. I was mostly speculating, not too seriously, that Earl might get better action and matches because he has such a reputation. I don't care to judge whether it is real, fake, deserved, chemical, or otherwise, but I would avoid an argument about anything with that man just for the state of my mental wellbeing. There are likely other benefits, too.

Love your posts, Mr. Lee. Thanks for responding to mine (above).

au2ag...LOL Well, I'm two for two today! So hard to read sarcasm into posts, unless you use the "emoticons"! :welcome::grin-square:

You're incredibly funny.

I said I would never support earl in another match BUT if Alex plays him I will buy it. For all the complaining you do, you sure do backup a lot.

I said I would never support another earl match, but if alex plays him i will buy it just because I know alex will deal with him properly.

are u kidding me?

since everyone seemed to be watching a different match than i did, and since how earl doesnt have a chance, i will take earl +8 if they play

You make a good point.
Earl showed a lot of game for a 3-1 underdog.
The only guarantee that can be given is that it will be exciting and
entertaining.

..the over/under on wise cracks is 1400

Guess it's time to make an 11' table the new standard. :p
