sold a blue grass here (what would you do?)

tony, this is settled , and i did try to settle it on the phone but you were condicending and said you dont need my crap, then sent me the email i posted that demanded "here is what youll pay" and still had extra charges. iam done here, no hard feelings. the money was sent. i know it was not what you demanded. but what was fair + a little extra. best of luck to you and yours! i wish you and your family a prosperous year Bill

Bill you are wrong again.
You have not been reading your pm's neither your cell VM since I have been trying to reach you since yesterday, but you resolved to make this public.
You know my cell phone number 209-482-7768, so call me when you feel like it.

Not a classy move

sold a blue grass here (what would you do?)

I would have kept my mouth shut and dealt with it.

Do not mean to be rude but imo both of you should just stfu and compromise w/each sharing in the loss.

By running your mouths both of you have lost way more credibility than money.

That's my take. Sorry if I offend.

I have to agree with Jim.. It does not show much restraint airing your business issues on a public forum. That's my take too. Not picking sides but think that these issues should be left between the seller and buyer! JMHO

Bill just sent the payment by PayPal but I need to talk to him before I do anything. I had 2 or 3 deals with him before without an issue whatsoever and to me is mindboggling the reason he made something like this public instead of solving it with a civilized conversation over the phone.

nice deal

Maybe get a dinner and some movie tickets out of it too. I would have gotten an ivory ferrule or two out of it. Maybe an ivory butt plate. Just kidding.

to: bill and tony...

hi gents...

bill: i know you thru AZ; from your posts, some interchange of posts with you, a few PMs and rep given both ways and some in my opinion wonderful things you have done for others, so... what i am trying to say i would trust you for sure.

tony: i know you from AZ/posts/PMs/buying a cue from you that was described perfectly and fairly priced, plus from meeting you in vegas from 2 of your trips here during tournaments, visiting my home and playing some, meals and drinks, so what i am trying to say i trust you too.

you both have "Heart", a good thing! but i think you both need to swallow a little pride and "LET IT GO!" - bill's Heart tells him he should split the cost in essence, and your Heart should accept "With Thanks" and both of you be happy! and hopefully chalk it up too how easily 'nothing' can turn into thieves/liars/cheats and hard feelings.

please guys: "let it go".

best to you both,
smokey

Now I am really not buying your story. Some of the readers were concerned about your e-mail address being public befrore, now your posting cell #s? Obviously he has your number already, since one of your biggest complaints was the message he left you.

Besides that, and to be perfectly honest, the person that posted your business dealings through the google search pretty much destroyed any and all chances of me picking your series of events. The fact that you have not addressed or responded to that post, but have replied to posts before and after, carved it into stone.

Now, in the words of someone in your line of work.....

Go fly a kite! (Can't believe I was the first to make that joke)

TAP TAP! Well said smokey... my sentiments exactly! I really hope these guys can come to a mutually agreeable position on this. I know Bill is a stand up guy and I can only assume that Tony is too, just a F'd up situation...

I know who you are and I know you are not in Northern California. Because of you somebody got banned off of AZ already and I am not going to continue on. If you have something to tell me and you are in Northern California why don't we meet and we'll make a race on 9 ball for a bit of money? If you are up for the challenge we need to open another thread on other section of AZ.

Miles,
As far as I am concerned I am done with this and even pm'd Bill to send a message to AZ House Pro to close this thread, delete it, whatever he feels like it.
Unfortunately I've seen a couple of posts on here that people did not even read my response, only read what Bill said on the beginning. Also other people with disguised aka names take advantage of the thread to throw more firewood to the fire. Bill is a good man and I never disrespected him or called him any names or even used any profanity. Like somebody else said here, nothing but a huge miscommunication that escalated to nonsense proportions.
This was my last post on this thread btw.

knowing both this has to me poor communication on all parties

tony id not badmouth bill to me. i told tony no matter what deal sometimes things happen

tony could have returned the damaged cue to bill for a immed full refund and let bill figure out the insurance. would be totally waranted. damaged in shipping bill is liable.

tony should have asked richard the cost and bill should have asked tony the cost ect...

figure it out between the two of you guys. youre both looking bad here

I've been in sales since I was 17 years old. As much I appreciate a guy sticking to his guns on a raw deal the best thing would have been to just pay the 125 or whatever it was. Personally I don't think it was worth the risk of airing out an argument publically. Unfortunately these kinds of dealings where people take advantage of a guy doing good business is all too common if not the norm. It just comes with the territory of dealing with the public. Its sad. I feel for both parties because Cornerstone just wanted to be fair with his own money and Bene was being your typical joe public and expected more than was agreed to (product of the general publics assumtion of entitlement).

I guess the big question goes to Cornerstone. Salesman to salesman do you think airing this deal was worth it? Do you think it will change the way people do things? I ask because I wrestle with this every day and I hate having to "eat the difference" but feel compelled to do such. Feel free to PM me the answer to that question because I honestly would have just given him the money and not done business with him again.

I also just read that he was a repeat customer. Sometimes eating the difference helps forge the way for more business. I'm not saying anyone was right or wrong though.

Mahna.... What a friggin idiot you are. Obviously you have not read the entire thread. I think that it is sad that Bill ever took this public. I can think of cue dealers with much more class sense to bring something like this up on a forum.

I cannot say who was right or wrong but guarantee Bill will lose more than $125 bucks worth of profit over this thread. I'd think twice myself from ever buying from him again just seeing how he handled this. I'm not talking about the money, just the fact that he took it to the soapbox. Tony is a great guy, I think it's sad for him.

I don't know or care who is right but we should have never been part of the issue. It's between 2 guys, it should have stayed that way.

Now I am really not buying your story. I'm a loser! ....!

Integrity

I read both versions of the "story" and believe both of you are worth your salt.

Maybe the approach and the solution was the issue? Maybe it was a lack of communication from the start? Maybe it was a bad day and the comments set things off to this? Whatever it may have been, both of you have members who have dealt with you and not had issues. I think taking the $50 is not saying you lack integrity by any means. I would look at is as:"enough with this ... let's move on". Giving the $50 doesn't mean you were in the right and handled things in the best manner but that you understand his fustrations and want to move on as well.

I just hope this ends on a positive note and this thread is deleted.

well I believe that people will now think twice after reading this.will think if i should do the upright thing and have a good deal or streach it a little and no one will know! when i offer somthing i will stand behind it. But i also Expect the same courtsey. most times as my customers can attest. i go over and above whatever is asked ! Now i dont hold this aginst Tony. and it would have gone away ,after me bringing it to his attention the first time. and tony saying sorry my bad Ill take 50.00 off for the butt refinish.and i would have sent funds but instead I got additude, disrespect, demanding , and not once did i hear or recieve in a email,SORRY it was a mistake,Or SORRY i didnt understand richard.
that one word would have made the world of differance of how quick this went away!
