She's a machine. She's Chieh-Yu Chou,........ The 2023 Womens World Champion in 9-Ball, (AND 10-Ball)
Right handed, breaks right w/cut break. Uses mostly outside-draw to keep position.
Beats Allison Fisher 9-0
Ally missed a 9 Ball and Chieh made her pay for it.

Kamui WPA Women's World 9-Ball Championship 2023

Wow, the thread title got me excited, but sorry, this is not pattern play at its very highest level. That said, these are exceptional players with lots of titles ahead of them. Wishing both of them the best of luck.

Sry ya right,..... I should have said Position play.
The women are the best I have seen. They come a lonnnng way.

When Ko played Filler in the finals of (I believe) the Diamond event in Vegas a couple years ago is when I saw the finest position play I can recall.
Tremendous match.

i believe that was the world 10-ball championship. lil ko vs filler. yes, the top taiwanese players are probably the best position players, JL chang may even be better than the ko brothers.

That was a great display of pool playing.
How do you beat that?
Almost flawless.

I haven't watched Allison in years but I have to say that is by far the worst I have seen her play. When she had the rare opportunity she couldn't take advantage of it.

Having said that, yes Chou was flat awesome! She was able to shoot her way out of slight mistakes and even a pretty nasty one. It was funny watching her when she knew she had gambled against a scratch in the corner pocket. This was her day though and even the cue ball knew that. Her worst flaws were brushing a ball a couple times, a quarter inch would have made the difference.

A lady to watch!

When Chinese superstars Siming Chen and Han Yu return, women's pro pool will feature eight players with a Fargo of 750 or better. It should be fun to watch.

It has been a few years since I have watched the women, maybe more than a few. Looking at the quality of play it seems the ladies may be catching up with the men with the break being the only difference when the one ball isn't wired. I think the one only failed to go in the side pocket a couple times. My main reason for losing interest in nine ball, too easy for the full timers to find a break that works every time.

When I gambled nightly I hated nine ball on the coin op tables because people always wanted to play six ball to use the extra balls. Six ball was the only game I couldn't find a break for. Fine for me to have the breaks wired, it is other people having them wired I object to!! Yeah, consistent I ain't.(grin)

Wow! I never thought I’d meet someone that noticed that too. That was the best pool ive ever seen played. Josh played perfect pool and still lost.

That match was the the highest standard ever achieved in my opinion. I still watch that match once a year. Unreal that it was that good for other players to notice it too. Think of how much pool we all watch!?
