Does anyone know of a better cloth than Simonis it just does't hold up like it use to . its on 7ft bar boxs. it seems to have ware tracks on it right away. it use to last a lot longer. anybody know of anything else out there.

to my knowledge simonis is the most durable. perhaps your getting more play or you have change to a low grade ball. I haven't noticed any change in quality. You might even want to check the tips on your cues make sure there round and scuffed.

Championship Tour Edition
Faster and more durable then 860

Strange how others agree isn't it.
No worries bloke - you just keep on lurking rather then participate in the forum.

I second the choice for Championship Tour Edition Last twice as long and plays faster as it gets wear on it... I have been using for years on bar boxes.

I second the motion on Championship's Tour Edition 3030 fabric...faster, more durable, the balls don't skid as readily, and, it's fairly priced, too...!!!

Championship Tour Edition

I play at a a pretty high level and will just give you my opinion as a player on Tour Edtion cloth. I don't mind the extra speed for eight ball and straight pool and can make the adjustment pretty quickly, but, for nine ball it is just annoying.

We have a couple of places in the area using it and here is my comparison to 860. The cueball is rolling slowly and you expect it stop in the next 4 to 6 inches the ball rolls another three to four feet. When the cue ball is rolling very slowly it should be coming close to stopping, but, not on this cloth. The guys that play out of this place regularly are not really playing pool. I mean they are not putting any action on the cue ball. They are just easily hitting the ball around the table to control the cue ball speed. I like it to some extent because it is challenging and different but I think the speed is so different that it changes the game. You might as well be playing on the slate itself.  :D

Championship Tour Edition.

Just MHO but, I like the way it installs... plays... and lasts!!!

I can't say anything about this subject as of yet, cats got my tongue, but when I CAN say something, you'll all hear about it:D

Please hurry your response! got 12 barboxes to do on fri. planned on using 3030.
I am actually a fan of 3030. Have used it with success for a while. I think it has been a good compromise between room owners and players both looking for something that is usually different.

IMO 3030 and 860 are overkill for a 7' bar box.
Nice to have but just too much speed.
