I like it when someone puts a link to one of these songs. This Dave Dudley guy.....when I listened to him sing, I could only think that Johnny Cash must have passed by Dave at some time or another. They're style of singing are remarkably similar. In fact, listen to "A boy named Sue" and see if Johnny doesn't owe Dave Dudely some "cash".
If Mike Page hasn't got this one in the mix, he is missing out.

definately a little "cash" in his style.....i love this song cause it has all the meanings of pool as it relates to so many on each end of the stick....
Dave Dudley was born several years before Johnny Cash. I don't know which singer influenced who. Now I have to go find Vietnam Blues and read the lyrics....
