Sossei in final 3 at Derby.. Go USA...

I'm not sure about the bag thing. Every time I've played him he has used a towel that he scrunches up to wipe his fingers. I don't think he uses chalk for his hands or anything like that.

"Equal or better"?

In no order, everyone I think is equal or better than Jeremy. There could be more, just off the top of my head:

Shane
Mike Dechaine
Johnny Archer
Rodney Morris
Corey Deuel
Dennis Hatch
Earl Strickland
Oscar Domingez
Brandon Shuff
John Hennessee
Justin Bergman
Justin Hall
Joey Gray
Chip Compton
Keith Bennet
Chris Bartram
Stevie Moore
Mike Davis
Rob Saez
Mike Davis
Larry Nevel
Shawn Wilkie
Max Eberly
Scott Frost
Shawn Putnam
Charlie Bryant
Tony Watson

I'd gladly bet on any of these people playing Jeremy in a long race. Jeremy can beat any of them but I'd feel like I can win betting on anyone them. This isn't an insult… I'd feel pretty great about my game if I were even compared to these people.

Please clarify, which ones are equal and which ones are better?...or are they all "equal or better"? Which would mean,on any given day, anyone on the list could beat anyone else on the list, which in turn would mean, trying to rank them is meaningless.....??

I don't think it matters. He's a great player, he should be proud of that. But he's not head and shoulders above others….

I don't know what that means but "pooljunky220" talked to me on Facebook and told me how wrong I was…. So imma cry now.

Phil, I don't care what place he got in this or that, he's not a top 5 or top 10 or even top 20 American player. He's a great player and has done well in tournaments. He should be proud of what he's done and what he's going to do in the future, but IMO he's not a top 20 guy. I can and will name 20 people he's equal or worse than who were born in this country and I'd bet 1000 against him if he played any of them race to 20. That doesn't make him a bad player… that makes him a great player, but there are a lot of people his speed or better that would give that team a better chance.

Dechaine got runner up in 1pocket tournament, does that make him the 2nd best one pocket player? Of course not. Guy can run the F out and moves ok. Doesn't mean anything. The guy who got 30th is gonna beat him.

Well cleary get your list out and I will pick a player cause I got 1000 that's burning a hole in my pocket

bet

Typicall big internet mouth that needs to be stuffed. U got wilkie just in case u still wanna bet. Also u can bet more if you like

Phil & Tommy,
Your getting baited into this. I know your friends with Jeremy.
If someone makes a comparison of their opinion to John Clayton and Peter Gammons who have been Journalists and professional analysts for over 40 years in that sport. Enough said...
I guess every APA 2&3 and every C player is as qualified to give their expert opinion about professional pool, and everyone's ranking.

bated

I'm not getting bated ken he made a statement saying he would put up a thousand against Jeremy. I always like an opportunuty to bet :)

you listed Mike Davis twice so you owe one more name. :p

And I will also back Jeremy against a number of guys on this list for $1k each.

I don't think there would be any difficulty to find additional funding for these if it were needed. :)

teams

OK, We can agree to disagree. Only one coach picked Schmidt, he would have been a great alt, coach, waterboy ect..

Once again congrats to Jeremy for some great play.
Hopefully he can push a little further..

Have you ever put together a championship team and had to choose between a number of possible players.? Could you have picked the Mosconi team and guaranteed success?

It's not quite as simple as you make it sound.

lol I'm sorry my 'off the top of my head' list had a duplicate. If someone on that list plays Jeremy a long set, you got me.

I don't know why everyone is so butt hurt. He's a great player, I never disputed that. There are just a lot of great players. I don't hate Jeremy or have anything against him. I didn't even say he can't beat those people, I just said he isn't BETTER. No need for tears ladies...

Are you slow? I didn't compare myself to anyone. Phil (and probably yourself) thinks if you cannot draw your ball, your opinion doesn't matter. I think that's false. JUST THE SAME, you don't have to be able to dunk to have a valid opinion on basketball.

Phil and I will most likely be on the couch later sharing some New York Super Fudge Chunk. We might not even turn on the Superbowl. :crying: :o :(

My use of the word 'crummy' is what started it, sorry man.

I watched him at the NJ State Championship and he played so weird for the last couple of matches that I wrote him off for the MC team this past year.

He's a solid player and could very well earn a spot and be a shining star this year, we could really use him.

But, he was definitely not in MC form leading up to the tournament this year.

Hahaha sorry but yall need to chill. He's a great player and I never disputed that. If I said he sucked that's one thing, but I didnt. Phyllis gets a yeast infection when I say he's not a Hall of Famer.

Why Wilkie? I'd say Putnam and have them play with cyclop balls :)

I think Cleary has your tires fully pumped
