Too bad you can't come and enjoy the tournament...perhaps every once in awhile?

Oh, and yes, that is Elias Valles, he's known to play a little....at that time he was managing Hard Times in Bellflower, CA. The pic is from the Straight Pool Tournament I promoted a couple of years ago.

Sounds good and not too far for me. I will make it a point to play. By the way all four guys pictured on your avatar look goofy to me. They all got the seven except the one at the far left.

Very cool... Yes.. I know Elias. He is a good guy and a hell of a player!!

I heard the tables there now are a little better than the Beach Billiards table they had during the National's days. :eek::grin-square:
:eek::)

The tables are GREAT! 9' Diamond Tables with pro-cut pockets (Tournament Blue Cloth)...Great opportunity to play on some professional equipment!

LOL! Yeah, I agree, I think the guy on the far left is gonna need a hell of a lot more than the 7...lol!

How many tables will you be using for the events? I know this may depend pn the # of entries but I just want to get an idea on how late in the evening these may go. I really like the idea of having a short race event for this reason.

The maximum amount of tables I will using is six. Of course, I will be doing my best to keep the tournament moving. As soon as a table is free...I will be putting a match on it.

I like the idea of a short race event so the evening doesn't drag on, I'm way past the point where I wish to be closing down a bar at 1:30AM. From what you said though, it sounds like the management has given you access to as many tables as you feel you need.

How long, assuming a full field of 32 players, do you think a typical tournament would take? Since you probably have in mind how many tables you will use depending on field size, what time at night are you shooting for to have these events finish?
