Just a heads up to all you hard core pool fans. The next Bigfoot Challenge will be held at the Southern Classic from June 21-25, immediately after the Ultimate Ten Ball at the same location. Same as Derby City, 32 players, 1K entry fee and $18,000 added for a 50K purse!

The first invites go to the 32 players who participated in the Bigfoot Challenge at DCC. After that the field will be open to QUALIFIED players. If you are one of the 32 or know them, please let them know to contact me to lock up their spot. It should fill up pretty fast. jayhelfert@yahoo.com or (310)370-3994

Give me the Orange Crush and I could probably win a game or 2. Somehow, I don't think you're in the weight-giving mood for this one, Jay. ;)

Bump to the top. Should be great. I had a blast watching it at Tunica last year.

Landon vs. Earl was a tension-filled epic affair. I kept waiting for the Pearl to explode.

Here's what our line-up looks like so far. All the following have verbally committed to this event:

Corey Deuel
Dennis Orcollo
Johnny Archer
Francisco Bustamante
Brandon Shuff
Lee Van Corteza
Shane Van Boening
Jayson Shaw
Alex Pagulayan
Niels Feijen
Phil Burford
Carlo Biado
Brian Groce
Karl Boyes
Huidji See
Rob Saez
Chris Melling
Dennis Haar
Nick Ekonomopolous
Warren Kiamco
Jon Pinegar

Other players like Mika and Donny Mills are trying to arrange their schedule so they can play. It will once again be a strong field of top players!

wow, can't believe a year went by that fast!! this is an awesome event, cant wait to sweat it..

James you going to Vegas? What days? The fisherman was calling me yesterday, he's rearin to go. He's a trip.

I had to make a few changes on my original list. Lost one player and added two others.

I was actually just going to look for this thread today, as I've been worried about the Bonus Ball schedule conflict. Still looks like a lot of great players in there.

Lots and lots of money to be made in Tunica, if the players will just show up.

Now hear this, if anyone sees me being called to the TV table for a match.......something has mysteriously gone wrong.

Jay is there not a conflict for some of these players due to the bonus ball matches?

Bigfoot Tables Located Where ?

After being at the Southern Classic last July, I was really disappointed where the Bigfoot tables were located at the DCC. The viewing options for matches were not good for spectators. Are the matches going to accommodate more people that want to watch this year at Tunica, or is the seating going to be limited like it was at the Derby? I was really looking forward to seeing the matches on the 10 footers at the Derby, and was very disappointed to say the least.

Bogus Ball and Tunica

Is Bogus Ball going to ruin a really good tournament? I was there for 5 days last year, and for a 1st year it was a well run tournament that my wife and I really enjoyed being there despite the $100. ride to and from the airport.

To answer the above questions, yes there are several players who have a conflict and are planning to use an alternate so they can play in the Bigfoot Challenge (and Southern Classic). We are creating a second arena, side by side with Accu-Stats, expressly for the Bigfoot Challenge. It's designed with spectators in mind.

i think that $100 is kinda steep, not sure, i will check and see what alternatives are there for you.

just like most regions prices seem to go up when people come to town.

case in point, i was working downtown for 2 weeks. parking spots were 10.00 a day.during the bar b cue cook off which is held during memphis in may festivities those same parking spots went up to 40.00 a day. talk about vendor gouging !
