You guys keep getting SPAM from u can't mention every month ( sometimes TWICE a month ) ?

The same crap is on "sale" every month.
They are all hot and great deals?
Yet, they are on "sale" every freaking month.

Don't mention the name.
You know who it is.

I think he's entertaining to be honest, and the once or twice I interacted with him was pleasant. If it bothered me, I'd unsubscribe like I normally do, but I actually don't mind his.

I get it every month like clockwork. I keep getting them to see who he is knocking that particular month..

I get a couple or 3 in my inbox. I like the stuff I get from Joe B. I asked for the emails.

The other places, I have no idea on how I got on their mailing list.

I don't bother reading any of the ones that I don't want, just hit delete, as they usually have nothing that I am interested in.

CC is supplies and many decent monthly specials. Even if I don't buy anything, it is nice to know what is out there.

The others are usually crap cues for sale.

I get a few from OB Cues, which I signed up for also.

Yer referring to Joe B, right. I have talked to him a few times on the phone. He was busy but had time for the odd joke or idle chit chat in between ordering. I never felt that I was totally rushed.
Depending on the day, he does hurry you along.

I have a standing offer to park a tent on his lawn and work for him during any Canadian Winter.

Now that you mention it, I noticed the shifty shaft sheister and his aliases have not posted (or pontificated) on azb in a while. Can't say that I miss him and his shenanigans.

I would like to take this a step further if I could. As far as SPAM I get a computer full daily to begin with. You delete or read.

I am guilty or guiltier than anyone, on here alone, thought of not doing it as much but as Dick Neighbors wrote in a thread, I can open it, or not.

The other thing is every year will lose so many members and a newbie with Bronze shows up to balance it and I want the business or a chance at it.

From the Back Page of my Web Site and Paypal buys I may have a list of active as big as JB's but at present I don't do a mailing.

This brings me to why I am posting on this thread. I was thinking of setting a Thank You Email up to send every time someone ordered my Tips. Do you consider this a good thing or bad thing?

I mean even my real home Mail Box is stuffed full daily with paper things and I don't read 95% of them, waste of paper and postage (in today's world).

When or what is to much and not enough? This could turn into a great thread. I don't want to make anyone mad by doing things yet I don't want to miss a perhaps repeat customer.

Thoughts????

I put his emails in the junk box. I still check them out every once in a while. After buying $600 worth of fake moori tips and then have him blast idealogist for selling them on here I won't spend another Penny on his business. Speaking of that anyone want to buy his cue making videos for $120

It's good to send an acknowledgement that the order has been received. When I get an order, I usually type a thank you by hand. If you can't because of volume, then just something saying that you got the order and are processing it is appropriate even if it's automated.

Like you, I don't like to spam. If someone wants to keep tabs on me, I have a website, facebook page, and I'm active on appropriate forums. I don't feel like I need to bug anyone. :)

A thank you by a vendor is just great PR, and appreciated by most, myself included. I have no problem with that at all. It shows 2 thing, IMO.
One is that you got the order, and 2, you appreciate the customer enough to send a message, even if it's automated.
BUT if that vendor starts to send emails every couple or three weeks, and in them, provides links that knocks other people, vendors, cuemakers, FORUMS, Members of said forums....etc....then its a different matter, IMO.. The above referenced, but not to be mentioned, idiot, tends to go overboard with that crap...considering his own storied past/not so past issues with the law and other members here and in other forums (stamp collecting , I believe). Not to mention he likes to threaten not just legal action but physical action too....
He's just a simple, name calling, dirtbag....nothing more needs to be said

(now I await his email of lawsuit threats to take everything I own...hope he likes my ex-wife.....and the cardboard house he says I own....I only rent it...hehehe)
