Stacked Leather

Does anyone have any pics of cues with stacked leather?

A Friend of mine is debating a leather wrap, and we have never seen the stacked.

Thanks
Steve

Use the search feature here and you will find a few. Ryan at Muellers is well known for his stacked leather wraps.

Tell your friend to actually see a stack wrap in person and shoot a shot or two with it. I put one on my Gilbert and will be having it replaced. It neither looks as good as I hoped nor feels like a normal leather wrap.

Here's one ratcues did for me that feels like a sealed smooth leather wrap except you can feel the slight ridges of each stack.

I love the way it feels while shooting, and it actually reduced the weight on this particular cue, which made it balance even better with the 314-2.

Got black stacked on my Lebow. I love it. You can't really see it unless you look close but i really like the feel.

stacked leather wraps...

Stacked leather wraps are awesome my friend. Like the previous two posters, I would have to say that they feel really good. But whichever wrap you choose to go with you can't go wrong either way, regular, or stacked. Ryan at Mueller's did mine as well. And I must say, he did a very good job. Mueller's has some of the best prices around as well.

A friend of mine had one put on a few years ago. He loved it. Then one day he decided to clean it off with windex. He ruined it. He talked to the someone from the company and they replaced it for free. I sweat too much to use leather, but if I was going to try leather I would go to a company with such great customer service. They were very generous with my friend.

Whether you like or dislike stack leather is VERY dependent on who applies it. Stack leather can be rough and bumpy or as smooth as glass. A good cue maker can apply the leather to YOUR specifications. I like mine. I ask for some texture...NOT super smooth.

Windex is sure not the way to go. A "Pledge" type of spray will suffice, and give your cue a lemony scent ;)

i do not own this any more

Man that wrap is gorgeous! It really matches the colors of the wood in the forearm. I'm jealous! Who did that one for you?

That'd be the work of Elia--Stack Wrap Inventor and Tiger Products Founder.

We'll be at the Super Billiards Expo doing wrap on site in a couple weeks.

Wow, well it certainly shows, what a master. That wrap was very tastefully done!

Don't take it personally, but I'll probably be giving my Gilbert to Andy at SBE to take back and replace the Stack Wrap with regular leather. Mine was done by you guys, but in the end I just don't like the way it looks especially the ends where they taper down. I think anybody considering one should see one live to determine if the look appeals to them. BTW, I have no problem with the feel of it, though I would not describe it as the same as linen, leather, or wrapless. Closer to wrapless than anything I guess.

I have a tons of pics on my myspace page. Click the link in my sig. I can also post a handful of pics if you tell me what color combo you'd like to see.

Not personal at all.

If you are bringing the cue to SBE, you ought to bring it by our booth before you make any changes. We'll do our best to get what you are looking for.
