CTE/Pro One is Stan's SIGNATURE aiming system. You, Patrick and now Dickie have always gotten off on ridiculing Stan and anyone who uses CTE/Pro One AND YOU CONTINUE TO DO SO TO THIS DAY. It is truly pathetic.

You need to check your facts bucko. I never attack Stan, just the system. Seems the system can only get you so far, but not the winners circle.

Man, for a guy who is ranked a 3 in your local 8-ball event you sure have a lot to say about people way better than you.

Did you buy the PPV? Because I am watching another "system" player running out. He happens to be in final four of the winner's side. Last year he won the US Open.

Why don't you come back and tell us when you move up to being a 4 ranking in your weekly rinky-dink tournament.

Stan is THE MAN and the duckie is dinky. Stop typing and go back to practicing. You have quite a few balls in front of you to step up in rank.

OR

You could spend some money and go see Stan Shuffet for some much needed instruction. Then your next ten thousand balls will be much more meaningful for your game. I predict that if you did go get some lessons from Stan then you could spot Travis Trotter the seven when you're done.

No. I am not going to go there Lou. No you never once said "Stan Shuffet is XXX" to my knowledge. What you have done is make many remarks calling the teachers of Hal's systems snake-oil salesmen. And just a few posts ago you called the product bogus. Well since you know that Stan is heavily invested in selling the knowledge he calls Pro-One Aiming when you call it bogus you are by extension calling him a purveyor of a bogus product.

And in our society a person who KNOWINGLY sells something bogus is a scammer.

So either Stan Shuffet is completely delusional about the performance of his product and thus innocent of trying to scam buyers OR he is deliberately foisting a broken product on the public IF we take your words to heart.

Which is it Lou? Is Stan some innocent but well meaning guy who is hopelessly lost using and selling a "bogus" system or is he a scammer?

Instead of digging up examples how about we focus on just what you have said in this thread.

Stan will tell you that the system he teaches and sells access to is a cornerstone of his game.

You claim it's bogus. So is he deluded or a liar?

So you don't want to clarify your remarks?

We can't just discuss what you have said here in this thread? It's ok if you want to run away from them. I understand that you have trapped yourself trying to take away from Stan's accomplishment where he stood up and proved that he can use what he teaches to compete at a world class level.

Had Stan gone two and out then I predict that you or those who share your view would have delighted in saying that such a poor showing was direct proof that the system doesn't work. So please don't take it so hard when the very thing you used to attack instructors, playing credentials, have been established in front of the world by Stan 'The Man' Shuffet.

I am all for Stan and CTE but this idea about harvard is really kind of silly.
 
Look Lou,

I am not interested in arguing with you and making this about you and your views.

The point is that neither Stan or the aiming method he teaches is going away. Stan has decided to play a little and he is proving that he can play well. So the natural assumption is that he uses what he teaches.

No matter what adding good finishes in tough events adds to Stan's resume and helps him to sell his DVD and gain students.

After years of enduring what can only be termed as abuse from you and others those of us on the "not bogus" side of the debate are just happy to see one our own doing good. For years you have used the tin-foil hat insults, the snake-oil salesman insults and the who-have-you-beat insults.

So now at least Stan himself stands as a pretty good proof-of-concept for what he teaches. He has students who are doing well against tough fields using what he teaches and now he himself has several recent excellent results against tough opponents.

So, whether you like it or not the methods continue to gain popularity as more and more people learn them and make them a solid part of their games. And each time one of the proponents does well it provides more solid evidence of the validity and value of these methods.

So yes, Stan is a good guy. And he is a smart guy and he can play well. He is not a liar, not a snake-oil salesman selling a bogus method of aiming. He is a an upstanding family man and instructor who leads by example.

Yeah real silly. My statement are very bias...

However they don't deserve Lou's attack on their intelligence. I know the people he just said that about. I am one. Not very cool statements, but I know Lou he is just messing with John, I was just saying hey man now you are bringing in the innocent. I might not be Tesla, but I am not a donkey either.

Stan was a legend on this forum before this fine effort in the US Open. The legend has grown, but a legend is a legend.

Tesla was Edison's assistant at one point and intense rival for most of their lives. Really hard to say which was smarter or more inventive but many give the nod to Tesla. He transported electricity wirelessly for a very long distance, I think twenty miles or more off the top of my head. Not a little bit, enough to light a building. He also built what might have been the ultimate weapon, a device that started the multi-story building it was in resonating so badly it would have came to pieces if the machine wasn't shut down. Tesla said he could build a machine like it that would split the world. He meant that literally, not in theory. Nobody at the time had any interest in calling him on it and having him prove his point. A bit eccentric like all mad genuises or is that genii? However he is one of the more interesting inventors to read about and probably the second smartest man the world has ever known, only maybe second to Leonardo. Funny that he is comparatively little known.

I could ramble on for awhile about Tesla but this is all from very old memory and may already contain slight errors, nothing of significance unless memory is failing me worse than I realize! :grin:
