Prior to any of this happening there was a question on Allison Fishers website (yes, I have looked at it) posed to her about who does her repair work. Her reply was..."A local guy named Kevin".
Well, come to find out that local guy is Kevin Varney. Can anyone find that passage on her website now? It is gone and to me that is very telling in terms of who the ladies are going to side with in this issue.
Kevin went so far as to insinuate he would not work on any WPBA players cues until he received an apology. Well, as far as I can tell, he ain't getting an apology and he ain't working on their cues anymore.
Just an observation from the peanut gallery.
I am not taking KV's side by ANY means but yes that passage is still on her site.
" Q. Even though you play with a Cuetec cue, do you play with it "right out of the box" or do you have your cues modified such as tips, shaft, taper, etc. and do you have someone local do your work for you?
A. I do use an out of the box Cuetec. All that I ask for is a 56 inch cue. The average cue length is 58 inches. Other than that I use a mori tip and a local guy named Kevin does my tip changing. "
