State Champions List

I do not even know where to start to find Kansas's records, if any, other than just googling.

I did win the BCA state championship in 2003, and my team also took 1st place.

That is a very distinct accomplishment to win a State Championship and you deserve to be recognized for that.

The BCA League State Champions should probably be added to this list, too. It would be best if the Champions were limited to singles, since there are so many different divisions.

Adding them will certainly expand the list for sure.

State Champions

I have to add that I contacted the WPBA regarding a list of the winners of their State Championships. This is a program they started sometime in the mid-90's.

The response I received was that they had no records of the winners.

Very disappointing. Those gals who won those champinships will just fall into obscurity, as with many records and details of our Sport.

One would think you could just google a state and find a list of pool champions, but there are little or no records to be found.
In the case of my home State of Pennsylvania, I know there have been many Champions over the years but researching who they are is very difficult to find those answers. Especially anything before the 1990's.

The following is a list of Champions that I have been able to uncover in Pennsylvania. But any known info from any State is welcome. Afterall, what and how many years did Cigar Tom win the Maryland State 9-Ball Championship? Who were the past New Jersey State 14.1 Champions? Etc.

Missouri State Amateur Champion 2010 - Andy Craig

Same title - 2011 - Jarrid Easton (doh, I came in 2nd)

These tournaments were held at Billiards of Springfield, MO and were not truly representative of all the strong Missouri talent (although some fine players were definitely at both). The preceding is sort of a disclaimer and most from Missouri will understand why the statement is made.

OK, what discipline? 14.1, 9-ball, 8-ball?

the toughest state championships in history

I actually won the California State 9 Ball Championships beating Efren Reyes in the finals.....this was probably one of the toughest state championships in history because it was help at the Bicycle Club Casino at the same time as their major Pro Event (Efren got his revenge by beating me in the finals of that tournament).

Does California have an annual state championship?

How about Michigan?

Kentucky State 9-Ball Champion 2008: Duke Laha

By chance is this Duke a short blonde/grey haired guy who used to work for CSX? Would be probably late 50s early 60s now.
If so I used to play with him a long time ago.... If its him, glad to see hes still hitting them good.
