Steel Quick Change Tool posts. Anyone still looking for one?

I finally got around to finishing 6 of these and a good amount of Tool Holders. 2 are gone to Pre-orders. 4 are Available to sell. I will be finishing more tool posts later when I have more time.

I changed the design from the old style slightly. The edges on the back side are a little more rounded and the pistons use magnets instead of an oring. The magnets are really handy because the pistons auto retract now and there are no orings to wear out.

I am also throwing together some point mitering fixtures for a mill which will be available in the future.

Pricing is as follows;

Steel Quick Change Tool post with Two 3/8" holders and a locking handle - $150
3/8 Tool Holders - $15 each
1/2 Tool Holders. These have a groove for holding boring bars - $20 each

Have you thought about making a wedge style?
I have one of the first run and I like it a lot, but I think a wedge will control chatter when using a boring bar better.

Very interested in a complete set, but ???

??what is the pricing list?

Let us know prices and accessory pricing??

Thanks

I love the idea myself but from a manufacturing standpoint, the wedge design is more complicated to make and would increase the cost of making them well beyond an attractive price point. I think at some point, part of the chatter you achieve is from the ridigity of the carriage or tool more than the tool post alone.

I'd like to set up a pre-order for these. I am working on pricing everything currently. There will be a price break for participating in the pre-order. PM me for more info.

tool posts

I pre-ordered 2 months ago from this destroyer guy and didn't hear nothing back for awhile then finally a few weeks back he said he was struggling to find someone to machine some of the parts and if I wanted to wait another month for the set to be finished or just get my $180 back, so I was tired of waiting and wanted the $180 back now 2 weeks later still haven't received my money back or don't get a response from the guy I will be contacting paypal about this transaction

Last time these were made available it took kind of a long time for them to materialize, but it was well worth the wait.
These are very nice tool posts.
