when these are finished the bem has 40 ivory inlays ivory over stainless steel joint the 4 point four veneer cue will have ivory propeller inlays with dot's in the but sleeve and four propellers one in each point stainless steel joint two shaft's ivory ferrules

Interesting joint and neat looking. I've noticed you've used the steel collar inside the decorative collar a couple of times. Does this produce a specific feel your looking for? Does it negate the feel of an ivory joint? Is it to add weight to the nose?

the wt. of the joint is a little over 1/2 once at finished size!!! IMO i can't think of a better joint to use it has the right hit i've been looking for in cue building and i love it..........the balance point in most cue's that i build are around 18 7/8 to 19" with the small pin or big pin with the same joint.
 
Leon, these cue are surely going to raise the bar for Sly customs. Very nice work.
I'd like first dibbs on the propeller cue. O.K.? Bob

Excellent work as usual Leon. You got your CnC didn't you.
One thing that is consistant other than the quality is the Sly hit.

I can tell you from my experience with this joint I had put into a cue I just had Leon make me , it had alot of feedback and a solid ,firm hit to it. But without that heavy forward weight you have in alot of stainless joints. And then it looks good as all ivory joint do,but with a solid hit. I am hooked on this style of joint, I wasn't sure at the time I ordered it but now that I have it Im very happy with it. I can't wait to see more of these veneers , you been showing me Leon, the points are looking great keep up the good work >>>ED

Thats the exact reason i dont use my schon. But i think it could be the pin selection as well. Love the way my radial ob/1 -2 plays. Intersted in seeing how this joint setup feels.

I played with a schon for years as well before I went the custom route, and now I can't get used to the heavy forward balance or hit of the cue .So I had the chance to get a cue made with this ivory over stainless and I tried it and it's just something that I like and it agrees with my playing abilities, playing with this joint that Leon put in my cue, To tell you the truth I stay away from stainless steel jointed cue's because I don't like the feel of them . But this set up feels totally different for me, I am very satisfied with the hit of this set up <<ED
