A PM I got:
"got a pm from one of the guys that sold mark a cue . The mail man delivered the cue , left it on front porch . Mark said he never got it. It stayed there over night . When mark said he got the cue he returned the cue refusing to accept it because it was left out over night . Never even opened the package . Nice guy , HUH "
Probably buyers remorse.
Done. Damn, that was good. Reese's cups blizzards are fookin' awesome.
Okay, window-licker - pay attention:
1. I've been on this forum since 2005, and have done deals with more people than I can even begin to count. I've treated them all the same - with respect. The ONE exception to that rule was a guy who sold me a cue that he claimed was perfect...but when received, it looked like he pulled it out of a wood chipper and boxed it up, and I railed him for it, publicly. Not because it was a deal that I wasn't happy with...but because he turned out to be a lying ass with no sense of integrity.
2. Your opinion is still worthless. Reference my previous comment about the paper plate (although Scott is right - fine bone china is mighty classy)
3. Since you're so quick to reference a story you heard from a guy about a guy...let me key you in on all the things you DON'T know (and that list is long...in more ways than one).
a. I found a cue on AZB that I wanted to buy. I made the seller a very reasonable offer. He agreed to that offer. I paid him, in the manner he requested. The world was at peace.
b. He shipped the cue to me. It was VERY under-insured. For only $50 bucks, to be exact. The cue was $400, plus fees. He had no problems doing this before, and didn't think it would be a problem. I didn't much care, really...although I would not have shipped anything without full insurance. To each, their own.
c. On the day of alleged delivery, USPS had the cue marked as 'delivered' on their site. This was wrong. My wife was home all day, and nobody ever showed up. When I got home, I checked every spot around my house where a tube could be sitting. There was no tube. I let the seller know, and the hunt began.
d. The next day, we both call USPS. We ask for resolution. By X-mas miracle, the tube was sitting at my glass front door by 11am. The very spot a had checked SEVERAL times, the day before.
e. The shipping tube had been crushed. Was shaped like a football, with tears in the cardboard in several spots. The tape had been undone on one end. The plastic cap had been busted on the other end. I took photos of all this, for my records as proof that the tube got jacked up.
f. I take the cue out, and inspect it. The shafts were perfectly fine. The buttsection had a lift at the A-joint. Not major...but there. As the seller sold me a 'straight' cue, I can only assume that it was possible that the cue developed a minor bend while sitting at some unknown location outside...overnight...in 20-something degree weather.
g. I contact the seller immediately, and inform him of the problems. I tell him that, given the totality of the circumstances, I do not want the cue. Too much potential risk. I request a refund. He agrees.
h. I ship the cue back...wrapped well, and in a brand new tube I bought, myself. I insured it for the full purchase price I paid.
I. Seller receives the cue today.
j. Seller refunded my money today.
k. Seller and I exchange positive feedback, since we handled things politely and professionally.
l. As impossible as this may be for you to comprehend...there are TONS of guys on here with items they're willing to sell, but they're not inclined to post them up as such. Sometimes you just don't know what's REALLY out there until you advertise that you're looking for something specific. Earth-shattering news, I know...but just like Santa, it's REAL!!!!
Any questions, moron? How many points would you like to argue about, and opine that my way was not the right way to deal with things? You seem to have this idea in your head of how AZB should go, and how everyone should conduct their business....so feel free to educate me.
You know...now that you actually KNOW something about a transaction I've had on here. There are EASILY a hundred more you don't know the first thing about.
I don't give two craps and a damn about your 'vision' for AZB. You spout off B.S. (not Barry Szamboti, just to be clear) about things you know little to nothing about, and you picked the WRONG cat to take swipes at.
