Stop the Insanity. WPBL not good. Be a member and get pool back!!

Mark Cantrill, it's a shame that some on here are trying to deter others from investing in your upcoming PPV match. I will spread the word as best I can, and not on WPBL ball!

Why are you calling it shit? People want to buy their product, purchase ppv, etc.
And your speaking on their behalf, and telling "investors" not to buy their PPV product!??

NO THEY DON'T. The percentage of people that want to purchase a stream is minuscule. The market size for pool is tiny and the streamer market size is significantly smaller. It exists because of the people that do it for the love - Justin, Big Truck Et al.

Take me for example- I probably have one of the largest accu-stats collections in the world. I enjoy watching pool more than most pool fans, yet I have yet to purchase a stream and it has zero to do with the cost. I simply do not enjoy watching pool on my computer.

I feel horrible because I want to support TAR very much (although I did buy DVDs in the early goings when they offered them).

The game will continue to kick the same can down the road until the market size and demographics change. Poker, my lord didi the market change. It did not take long before millions starting playing poker, buying poker related items a d filling the industry with millions if not billions.

Kid dynomite brought up excellent points, I will also add that poker did so well so fast because the game allowed all those people to almost right away sit at a table and play right away. In pool it takes years of practice to to run several balls in a row consistently. Perhaps a game that would allow even bangers to feel like they had fun and could win might get people in. Very hard for newbies to get excited about something they will most likely stink at for a long time.

Well we have 16 ppl now investing in the shane van boening PPV match.
Will you be investing or will you wait to watch it for free?
Yes, im sure the latter

I don't give a s..t what you invested in you just degrated pool players you a.. clown. If I new you were putting an event on I wouldn't go if you guaranteed that I would win. I have a family I invest in but I buy ppv and play tournys I can't win and pay to spectate and I don't call them stupid worthless idiots while I pay to watch.

We most certainly be "investing" in this match. Someone explain to blackballed that we are "CONTRIBUTING" to this PPV match.
And that he shouldn't speak on THEIR behalf.
Understand English blackball??

Pretty convinced you are an idiot- (and you still fail to answer my question regarding whom you were referring to by 'their')- our original post...idiot evidence piling up quickly:

Myself and a large group of investors on the east coast are wanting to invest large sum of monies to pool!
Specifically we're looking to contribute to online steams - The Action Report and Inside Pool - challenge matches and tournaments. We highly respect their productions and want to make it better, if possible. We're looking to talk about more frequesnt streams.
We are also klooking into other productions as well.

We want the highest definition to every game. Our analysis has shown the highest defintion has brought more viewers, even with lesser "talent" or "names."
Our goal is pool's highest viewership online, smashing previous results.
We will minimize PPV costs using investor contributions and eventually advertisement.

Most experts view the new WPBL as a failure. We do as well.
Little about the game is appetizing to viewers in a case study, from beginners to advanced.
The viewership is extremely low.

The games we support for online viewership are 9ball, and 10ball. And to a lesser extent, 8ball.
Bonus ball has no future in pool.

We are offering a "friendly" wager. $10,000 bucks friendly.
If the WPBL is operating profit in 2015, we will pay. (We will hash out the details, when/if they're ready).
It's a long way away 2015, but we're extremely confident it won't last anywhere near that.

Further insight, we feel the WPBL is making a mockery of pool.
The sooner professionals realize this, the quicker they can support the games that have passed the test of time, and on the track that makes all parties richer while growing the game.

We will review online results.
And we're very confident when the numbers return, the state of pool with be in a much better place. Perhaps prepared for television talks.

Once again, the key is we have a large team of serious investors who love the game.
If interested in getting involved, you can contact me:

Thank you,

Kevin

Good points. There is a market for justin to make money, and it's online.
Pool will never make it to television. Good equipment, cameras, players, and you have ppl that will buy. I do, you don't....that's your choice. It's all good

Try and follow the thread. Go back to where I said "their" first, and try and put together the puzzle.
I know you can do it. Give it a try....

Mark Cantrill, it's a shame that some on here are trying to deter others from investing in your upcoming PPV match. I will spread the word as best I can, and not on WPBL ball!

Moron. Cantrill called your bluff and told you to put your money where your mouth is.

And you want to act like you are somehow doing 'pool' a favor...and anyone who is in disagreement with you is also against Mark...laughable.

Like TAR and Accu-Stats and IP and BigTruck, Mark has built a name and a brand deserving of respect through hard work, lumps and a wanted product, unlike you who just came and made a stinky.

We most certainly be "investing" in this match. Someone explain to blackballed that we are "CONTRIBUTING" to this PPV match.

Just so I know, since I am the promoter of the event, how are you contributing?? Do you mean you are buying the PPV? I just know nothing of it. Please let me know thanks.

I never called them that. Don't put words in my mouth.
If you are buying the upcoming PPV match, then your are an investor.
Sorry if your brain cannot comprehend multiple uses of a word.

What's frustrating about bonus ball is that they did almost everything right. Teams with the multi player scotch format to prevent the "same people from winning all the time". Good video, good commentary, quick shot clock, nice uniforms, beautiful venue. Everything right on the money except one key thing. Bonus Ball! The game itself sucks.

Substitute 10 ball in place of BB and it had a chance. Why does this seem like common sense to me yet they wasted millions on a shit game doomed from the start? Whoever invested in this deserved to lose their money. Just dumb!

Pool will always be dead because players are boring, dull, pusses, and have that "stare into space" lifeless look.
More? Sure... Always mad, immature, certainly selfish, not approachable, usually unintelligent.

Have you heard some of these guys in the booth? Embarrassing.
There are exceptions of course, but the lack of "personality", will always prevent pool from being on TV.

Help me understand why you're looking to get into this business when you slam the pros and say pool will always be dead?

With all due respect, there's lots of negativity in (what I believe to be) your opening PR on AZB. You been talking to Nathan? ;)

Hey, maybe this will succeed, but I'm personally taken aback with this approach. I'd bet others within the industry won't be running to join a "throw 'em under the bus" new team.

That BB ticked off @ all industry leaders should be fresh in your mind.

Please take this as constructive criticism.

Best of luck, I'd love to see more and better streams too - within a healthier industry environment.

Do you realize that you cannot possibly define 'their' in the context you used it?

You used it to refer to 2 different parties and that is illogical.

All 16 will enjoy the stream, I'm sure.
Are you looking up the work "invest" yet!?
Haha, I thought so.
Oh the narrow-minded....:grin-square::grin-square::grin-square:

Good post. I'm sure they'll gladly take our money. We like watching Shane play :grin-square:

I run an HDMI cable from my laptop to my 50 inch flat screen. You quickly forget it's being streamed live unless you're watching something like POVpool that buffers constantly and they insist something is wrong on your end. Of course you know that's bullshit because the PPV from Bigtruck and TAR doesn't do that. I feel bad for Daniel because he's going to do a PPV and once folks lay down money to watch he's going to have a shitstorm of complaints with that quality of stream. The writing is on the wall.

Good post. They tried to reinvent the wheel. Bonus ball is a terrible game, I agree.
