Story behind your avatar

socks,

No offense, but you do understand that that series is a copyrighted work, don't you? To the best of my knowledge neither Adams nor his family authorized the free publishing of his works on the internet.

And for the record, I have personally bought all of the Hitchhiker's Guide series books, and love them! I just don't feel comfortable with them being given away for free. :D

It's a great series.

I've bought all the books many times over the years only to have them magically dissappear. I have even bought the audio books only to have them go bye, bye.

Thanks for the links. I will enjoy them again.

I never met a 14 ball I didn't like. It's like a 6 ball with stripes, one you can see the edge of.

The gaffe in the old "push out" days of 9-Ball, was to spot up the 6 ball for a spot shot. You always put the number up so all your opponent saw was the side of the solid green ball. Don't ask me why, but it is the hardest ball to make spot shots with. Maybe a 10% greater chance of missing.

The 6 ball is also the only ball that can "hide" on a green cloth covered table. I have actually seen players go from the 5 to the 7 and totally overlook the 6 ball, "hiding" on the rail near a pocket.

In One Pocket, don't ever let your opponent rack the balls with the 6 in front. It's the worst ball to shoot at, and see the edge. Granted, these are small things, but several small things can make the difference between winning and losing.

But don't tell anyone I told you. ;)
Whenever i would spot a ball in any game for a guy taking a spot shot its always a dark colored ball like the 6 or the 8. :D

Meet Rufus. Rufus and his other brothers and sisters were born in a junk yard and were severly neglected. They were removed from the junk yard and moved into a "foster home".

Rufus had been adopted by another family but was returned to the foster home. However, prior to adopting Rufus, we adopted his sister, Liberty. We set up a play date to see how they would interact and they ran around the yard playing for about an hour and that's when I knew we would adopt him.

Rufus and Liberty still have some issues stemming from their neglect, but continue to make progress.

I change a lot...

My avatar changes a lot...I use photos that I took. A lot of them are from Walt Disney World...Florida beaches...baseball games...I mix it up...

Good idea, you are no Brad Pitt. You are just barely better looking than
Bull, But I like your style! By the way Bull is an extremely good looking guy.
I have a poster of him on my bedroom ceiling.

Dick

I wonder if it's the same poster that I have. :)

I change mine frequently but it usually is a good memory with great friends. The avatar I have now is with Sunny and Connie in Valley Forge, one of my ALL time favorite memories with two awesome people:) .

El Gato Grande...

Mine is a what I look like in the morning when I have to get up for work... man am I in a foul mood ;)

Actually, the Big Cat moniker comes from my own home. We have 3 cats that were all rescued and came from the streets, so they all have their own tough demeanors. But when the sh*t hits the fan, and I have to lay down the law, I am the biggest and toughest cat in the house  Ergo... the "Big Cat" is born. My wife laughs every time I tell this story.

But I do have an affinity for black jaguars. Beautiful, elegant, and graceful... yet extremely powerful, strong and very dangerous animals.
