Mine is the Linux penguin. I've been a Linux user for about 12 years now, but I have no idea why I actually chose that, other than I kind of liked the image.

I originally had myself in my avatar and thought it was a little corny. Like, "Hey! Look at ME!", so I chose something else.
Good idea, you are no Brad Pitt. You are just barely better looking than
Bull, But I like your style! By the way Bull is an extremely good looking guy.
I have a poster of him on my bedroom ceiling.

I am a software engineer and Wally is my hero. I wish I could be more like him. I also look a bit like him and carry the same coffee mug.

This is the oldest pool ball I've ever seen, or owned in this case. It is a clay ball circa early 1900's, pre Greenleaf era. This type of ball was used until the 20's and early 30's, as far as I can tell from the feedback I've gotten.

I put it on eBay a month ago just to see what would happen. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was very active bidding on it. Some people recognized it and knew how old it was. Final sale price was $147.50 for one pool ball.
Jay, I thought thats what that was. I remember you missing that exact
ball for the cash once. Is that why you saved it?

mine is from an MS Paint picture I did during the Johnny/Earl IPT match. I stated that Sigel and Grady looked a lot like the two old men in the balcony from the muppet show during their commentary. Chad from TAR challenged me to make an MS Paint of it.

Sigel with white hair looks like Einstein.

Our very own Smorgass Bored gave me the moniker "Short Bus Russ" after I woofed at a much better player, saying he should be "better than a shortstop if he wants to woof at me!".

Everyone thought it hilarious, and many people had (and have) the line in their sig to commemorate the ridiculousness of the woofing...

I commissioned our own AZE to create a logo for me, as I decided I really liked the nickname "Short Bus Russ". It's Rat Fink, drawn by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, of hot-rod fame. Of course, Rat Fink has been grafted onto a short bus.. :D :D :D

I then got Jack Justis to transfer the design to the custom case he was working on for me. A few AZ'ers saw it at DCC, and really liked it.

my current one is a screen shot i thought was funny from family guy when lois walked in on the cookie monster freebasing cookie dough in the womens bath room. my old one pictured below is a hitchhikers guide to the galaxy referance which is only the best book series ever!

dont_pan.gif

"It is also the story of a book, a book called The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy — not an Earth book, never published on Earth, and until the terrible catastrophe occurred, never seen or heard of by any Earthman.

Nevertheless, a wholly remarkable book.

in fact it was probably the most remarkable book ever to come out of the great publishing houses of Ursa Minor — of which no Earthman had ever heard either.

Not only is it a wholly remarkable book, it is also a highly successful one — more popular than the Celestial Home Care Omnibus, better selling than Fifty More Things to do in Zero Gravity, and more controversial than Oolon Colluphid's trilogy of philosophical blockbusters Where God Went Wrong, Some More of God's Greatest Mistakes and Who is this God Person Anyway?

In many of the more relaxed civilizations on the Outer Eastern Rim of the Galaxy, the Hitch Hiker's Guide has already supplanted the great Encyclopedia Galactica as the standard repository of all knowledge and wisdom, for though it has many omissions and contains much that is apocryphal, or at least wildly inaccurate, it scores over the older, more pedestrian work in two important respects.

First, it is slightly cheaper; and secondly it has the words Don't Panic inscribed in large friendly letters on its cover."

Careful Jay, I think Frank Taberski is still waiting to shoot that 14 ball.

socks,

No offense, but you do understand that that series is a copyrighted work, don't you? To the best of my knowledge neither Adams nor his family authorized the free publishing of his works on the internet.

And for the record, I have personally bought all of the Hitchhiker's Guide series books, and love them! I just don't feel comfortable with them being given away for free. :D

The Wanderers

Great movie, now I resemble a gang member to that specific gang. :D

One of my favorite scenes is when he eats a whole slice of pizza in one shot.

Last month it was a scene from Better off Dead...

I wonder how many people here realize that your avatar says more about you than your clothes, your car, or your wife. It is one of the few things in life that you freely chose to say --- This is me with my ego, and my neurosis, and everything else hanging out for all to see.

On-the-other-hand, it could be just a picture of you, as you really are in your own mind.
