Straight Pool Sub-Forum Request

I was wondering if we could start a 14.1 sub-forum where we can discuss and pass along knowledge. Keeping the discussion in the main forum is ok - but this site has grown in membership and popularity and most of the threads end up on page 3 and 4 very quickly. There are other sub-forums within this site that are hardly used at all, so I was wondering if we could centralize the straight pool knowledge within this forum so it is easily retrievable. I think that it would be a great asset to this forum. We have many knowledgeable forum members that can participate - and I would be willing to make my 14.1 Instruction Manual available for free download within the site also ( :D yes that is a bribe :D ).

14.1 players, please show your support for this and let Mike know how much this would be appreciated.
 
Blackjack, that's just a great idea! Recently there has been a lot of interest to the subject, and you mentioned older posts to search for. If these were accumulated in a special sub-forum, that could be much easier. Games like 14.1 and One-Pocket as well do require a sub-forum due to deep knowledge involved and assistance needed from more experienced members.

Blackjack, I think this is a great idea and I hope Mike gives it serious consideration. I'm sure it would get more traffic than the pro sections, where all but a couple pros rarely post.

I would like to see a 14.1-specific forum here. The knowledge base is terrific.

(and not that I don't enjoy watching and learning, but I'd like anything that might help me keep Harriman in the chair a bit more during our next match)
 
For that matter why not make a few sub forums for different games like 8 ball, 9 ball, 10 ball, rotation, banks, 1 hole........ instead of having it all cluttered in the main forum.... Just food fer thought
 
I like the idea. I do ask that people send me a list of posts regarding straight pool that should be moved into the new subforum. I will do a search of the forums and move over the ones I find, but there might be some missed.
