Yes all is true.. if you watch my video you will notice i keep the tool perpendicular to the shaft. dont be scared. the marks will come out. dont dive into it work it a little at a time.
The flat spot is very small. There is no ****ing way to avoid rolling the tool a tiny bit and keeping it only on the 1/8 inch of flat area. Don't be scared? man we have have not met have we.
THERE SHOULD BE NO FLAT SPOT!!
IF YOU WANTED A FLAT SURFACE YOU SHOULD HAVE DESIGNED IT WITH A FLAT PIECE WITH A RADIUS AT THE FRONT AND REAR TO AVOID ANY DIGGING AND A PIVOT FOR THE ROD.
