Stick8,

It is recommended to change your avatar to something other than the default, since that is what Mr. Wilson, our moderator uses...unless you really love that picture. It is not your only choice, however.

Scroll down to the bottom of the avatar edit page and go to the box that says 'Use custom avatar' and click on it. You have 2 choices, from the web or from your computer. Most pool fiends have tons of pool pics on their computer already (I have thousands) or pics of their family, pets, hobbies, whatever.

If you choose to get pics from your computer, then hit 'Browse', find the directory and pic and then upload that picture. You may want to run your mouse over or right click properties on your selection to see how big the file is, since you have to stay under the 19.5 kb size limitation.

If you need to do a resize, there are many graphics and paint programs to do that in, or you can do a search on here for threads addressing that.

If you want to use a web page for your avatar, I would suggest going to Google, search for billiard (or whatever) images, and then it will bring up pages of images. Click on one you like and it will be shown up at the top of the next page. If you click on 'See full image', it will bring up a pic all by itself. Copy and paste the URL into the field for editing your avatar.

An alternative way is just to right click on the smaller picture, 'Save as' into a directory onto your computer (it should be about the right size), and then use that in the 'Browse your computer' field.

Good luck! We want to see something snazzy! :p

In all fairness, I don't own any rights to that pic:)

We needed to load it into the avitar database in order for it to load at one point in time.

I'm quite fond of W.C. though.
