No wonder pool is a dying sport.
Too many crabs around.

Eric wasn't the one who set the prices in the 2nd hand market. It's what people are willing to pay for. Why are some guys whining when they see a Sugartree SP selling for 1000USD? It takes 2 hands to clap, the seller didn't rip the buyer off. The buyer had a choice not to buy the cue, but he did.
Anyway, whatever that's happening here, explains why Eric doesn't want to have anything to do with this forum.
Panhdlce said:What I have to say is NOT a negative reflection on Eric or his cues, but if their that good why do people who have them sell them?
Is it because if you order a cue from Eric you can almost double your money on the seconadary market?
Or if you buy on the secondary market you can mark it up a few hundred and make a quick buck? Think about it.........
It is like ordering two new SW's and selling one for such a profit that the one you keep is almost free.........

OR they can just say fkk it.Bamacues said:I don't feel that folks should sweat the dollar amounts that Sugartree cues are going for right now. If you would not pay that much for them, don't buy them. The market will determine the fair price of his cues. I have owned them, and they are a quality product. Remember, though, that nothing is more subjective than the "hit" of a cue, which is why there are so many cuemakers out there.
There are a number of relatively new (or those who were local phenoms that the internet has made other folks aware of) IMO, who make really, really great products, and have developed a very loyal following. Sugartree (Eric Crisp), Zylr (Kerry Zyler), Cory Barnhart, Kevin Varney, JW Petree, Joe Callaluca, Barry Cameron and numerous others. Check back in 5 years time, and you will see those that are still around. Based on quality of product and a no-compromise mentality, I would just about bet that these guys will still be around.
