Can anyone give me some information on Sugartree cues? I keep seeing them for sale on here. The sticks look great and the prices imply that they are nicely built. I'm getting ready to buy a new custom cue and haven't heard of these before.

Top Notch

Bought my first ever custom from Eric a few months ago, and I couldn't be happier with all facets of the transaction. A friend of mine had bought a Sugartree and I got to hit a few balls with it and was quite impressed, as was my roommate. I e-mailed Eric with a description of what I wanted, and asked him for a price range and estimated time to completion. Within 24 hours he had e-mailed me back with a price that was significantly below what I expected and a delivery time that was much shorter than I anticipated. I told my roommate about it, and we both ended up ordering from him. He was a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire transaction, responded to every e-mail I sent him, delivered the cues on time for the agreed on price.

As far as the cue itself, it is simply amazing. The wood is beautiful, the weight and balance is perfect, and it hits as solid as any cue I've ever shot with. Everyone that I've ever let shoot with it has felt the same way. Sugartree cues seem to have a great reputation, and I can say first hand that it is entirely deserved. I don't buy a lot of cues like some others on here, and I can't imagine buying anything else to play with right now. My Schon and Predator have been relegated to taking up space in my bag now. I really can't recommend Sugartree high enough. Absolutely fantastic all around.

Totally agree. Eric Crisp is a great cuemaker and a very nice guy.

I got a sugartree about 3 months ago, I kept it in my case for two weeks because I was nervous about the transition between predator shaft to non predator shaft. I gave his shaft a try mid tournament and I couldn't believe it. Was simply perfect. Low deflection, consistent, ...the cueball moved effortlessly.

I cannot recommend Sugartree enough.

I agree Erics shafts are top notch quality but they are far from low deflection.. I don't like low deflection shafts which is why I love Erics shafts.

I don't think I could possibly say enough good things about my sugartree. I've love it since the day I took it out of the wrapping from it's looks to the way it plays. My only complaint is I bought it second hand - perfect condition mind you - so now I'm looking to order one of my own design and very very excited about it.

I can tell you my shafts do not deflect any more than a predator or ob

From Eric in an email: "it doesn't deflect any more than a pred, but feels much better"

No doubt with his knowledge of wood he can build a shaft however the heck you want it built, within SOME limits.
