Ok guys here it is as of 1:13 AM on the 13th of January.

Mr. Bob Jewett aka THE MOTHER @#@O$I$ING MAN as i like to call him has graciously donated 1000 dollars.

Kevin Vidal is kicking ass and taking names (literally) for pledges of $25.00 as well as donating 1st and 2nd Place trophies as well as banner.

Diamond Billiard Products has agreed to send us out two nine footers.

There is something in the works with TAR that may or may not be happening more to come on that.

Pete Tonkin has graciously donated a custom cue for the event as well to help raise money and from what I hear its absolutely gorgeous. ( Might have to keep that one for myself --- I kid I kid.)

I personally have feelers out to some major cue companies who would most likely like to see their pros playing in this event and gain some extra exposure for supporting. Im hoping that someone comes through for us as we still have a hill to climb, but rest assured the right people are involved.

Most importantly I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you here on AZ. I know personally a few years back I had no love for pool anymore and I was sickened by the thought of looking at a table. I was turned on to this forum by Steve and he said " Look at this, this is what pool can be, this is the good that pool is, the people right here on this forum". and you know what. He was right.

So thank you again to all of you.

... If you know anyone in the billiard industry who knows someone who may be interested in sponsoring this event please feel free to get back to us.

Charlie
It looks like the total expenses for booth space and two 4.5x9 tables will be about $4000. I'm willing to put in $1000 towards those expenses.

Wow, that is great!

I have made contact with Chad at Diamond and asked if they could sponsor the 2 tables in exchange for title sponsor of the challenge ( or possible co-title sponsor ). Should hear back during the week from Chad.

This is the kind of support we need to make this happen. This is great guys, I know that Steve and myself will be working around the clock at the expo to ensure that this event is phenomenal.

We are more than open to title sponsors co title sponsors etc. Keep the ideas coming. Thanks so much guys.

Thanks so much Mr Jewett, you sir are the man !

And another thanks to Kevin Vidal, i would have no problem wearing a "Diamond" collared shirt at the booth !!!!

Thanks alot to everyone for all of the support and great suggestions, we are all in this together to bring 14.1 back into the spotlight where it belongs.... this is just us doing our part in hopes to do so !

Wish I played like Mark :(

OK folks update from my end, I am trying to do some things for this event behind the scenes here. Hope I am not overstepping my bounds thats all.

I am trying to get TAR to come in with you guys on the space and that would provide you guys with a live stream and offset the cost. I had this thought since they were planning to come to SBE. They would also have dvd's after.

Again, this is just in the proposal stage. Hope this helps. Hopefully Diamond comes through as well for you guys with 2 tables, I will know on that sometime this week.

I made this proposal to TAR where I thought both parties benefited.

This would leave the organizers needing to raise only another approx. $1,500 for the space with Bob's generous contribution. We may be able to even do that with a fundraiser here on the forum.

I will provide 2 nice trophies for 1st & 2nd places, and have a 6 ft. banner made to attract players to the area.

14.1 on a 7' diamond. Should be interesting. I'll definitely be there to give it a go.

Please be sure to let us know where the booth will be located. I know there isn't a lot of room left in that building once everything gets going.

9 footers Skess, give it a go when you are there!

Way to go, all concerned. Nice to see a story like this evolving.

Thanks to everyone for their support and their dedication!

Thanks for the support Stevie !!

Does this mean we can expect to see you at the event ??

We would love to see you compete

Thanks, Everybody!

How about a subscription from "the little guys" to underwrite the initial costs? Seems that there should be enough 14.1 lovers out there who could pony up $25 per just to see the event happen... perhaps with a discount on possible DVD's, etc.

I'm sure you guys are aware of this, but I thought I'd add the link anyway.

http://www.superbilliardsexpo.com/exhibitors.html

Click on the upper and lower maps and it will show you which booths are taken and what's left. I'm assuming we'll need two booths if we have two 9' diamonds. There are a few areas that have two open next to each other.
