Support the BEF and help spend Dr. Dave's money

We can't thank you enough for all your support, Dr. D & JAM!! We greatly appreciate it!!

Please also consider donating some items for our upcoming silent auction:

Have a great summer!
Good idea! In fact, I already gave Samm a big box full of my book and DVD sets to use as both silent auction items and prizes for the Junior National winners.

Thank you for helping to spread the word. Hopefully, a few other AZB members will pitch in (even if just $5) to help build my cash match.

Catch you later,
Dave

$20 more...
Thank you.

That brings the total to $120, still $380 short of my maximum match of $500.

Even if people contribute only a small amount (whatever you can afford), we can easily reach the total goal of $1000 to the BEF from AZB for this great cause.

Regards,
Dave

I just got a PM announcing another $250 donation from an AZB user who apparently decided to remain anonymous.

Thank you for your generosity!

That brings the current match total up to $370, only $130 short of the maximum $500 match from me.

Keep it coming,
Dave

PS: Here's the original post again, in case people aren't sure what this is for:

The purpose for this thread is to rally support for the Billiard Education Foundation (BEF). And to help provide encouragement, I am offering to match all AZB contributions up to a total of $500 between now and July 25 (the start of the 2013 Junior Nationals tournament in Vegas).

The BEF is a great organization and a good "cause." They provide various programs for juniors in the billiards community. The BEF funds academic scholarships, produces the Junior National Championships, and sponsors juniors to attend the WPA World Junior Championships. The BEF also encourages youth to stay in school and further their education while building and maintaining a lifelong love of billiards through the “Pool In School” program. For more information, visit the BEF website.

To contribute and trigger a match from me, go to the bottom of the page at billiards.colostate.edu and click on the "contribute to programs that benefit junior players" link. If you prefer to not use PayPal, you can send a check or money order directly to the BEF instead. The address and contact info can be found here.

Again, I will match all AZB donations (up to $500) the BEF receives between now and Junior Nationals (July 25, 2013). Please post your donation amount on this thread or send me a PM or e-mail to help me monitor the current total.

FYI, the BEF is a non-profit organization and your gift will qualify as a charitable donation, which you can claim on your taxes as a deduction.

Please contribute whatever you can, even if it is only a few bucks.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and for supporting the BEF. Young pool players are the future of pool.

This is a really good thing, lets help the kids out!!
Thanks Dr. Dave, I sent a donation for the cause.
Larry
Please post or PM me the amount, so I can better track my match amount.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
Thanks for your efforts.

I contributed $250 this morning.

Bert
Thank you for your generosity. I think that brings the current total up to $430 (only $70 short of my $500 maximum match).

Can somebody offer $70 to push the total contribution to $1000 (AZB $500 + my $500)?

Thanks again,
Dave

This is really cool! It is going for an excellent resource: OUR YOUTH!

Good deal!

He sure did!
Thanks, John!!!!

Thanks to EVERYONE & DR. DAVE for all your kindness!!! Donation receipts are in the mail.

Please continue to keep us in mind!

Because tomorrow's champions and college graduates begin with today's youth!

I just wanted to thank everybody again for their generosity toward a good cause.

FYI, with my $500 match, AZB members have sent a total of $1000 to the BEF for our juniors.

Please keep them in mind in the future.

Sincerely,
Dave

PS: Others should still feel free to contribute. I'm sure the BEF and juniors would appreciate additional contributions beyond the $1000. And remember ... it's tax deductible.
