SVB live and free in Athens Greece

I would say it's early to say that...

it is early to say that Kazakis own SVB but he beat him 3 in arow.......

mainly because no one OWNS SVB, and an 11-9 victory is hardly owning anyone.

Still, good on him for besting one of the best in the world...

Alexandris downs Economopoulos 11-9 for the title. Quite a final game (I count 9 innings for Alexandris)!

Oh my... the Greeks are STRONG!

I watched the stream of Kazakis vs. Van Boening, and there was no doubt the youngster (who has already been known to be a great talent for some years) played better, and deserved the place in the semifinal.

But I have never even heard of this A.Alexandris, who then went and beat Feijen, Kazakis and Ekonomopoulos in a row (those matches I did not see), and this tells me that you have some hidden gems there in Greece.

Well done. Nice tourny.

Hope Shane wakes up tomorrow and remembers that he is the BOSS. Better act like it.

Alternating break is brutal. Very hard to recover from a miss or you lose because your opponent gets better opportunies. Pro pool needs to be winner break.

yes absolutely! alt break sucks.....the "x" balls past headstring SUCKS more! no player should EVER relinquish the table after breaking in a ball.....never

True. It was sad watching SVB smash the balls and have to go sit down even though he pocketed a ball.

I think the past-the-headstring rule affected 3 games in the finals. And they made balls on all those breaks.

Just remember before the rules such as x balls past the center string or head string, we had even way MORE complaints about soft breaks, Corey breaks, and bird breaks. These new rules were put in place for an explicit reason.

I personally think the only break rule should be the official one of 4 numbered balls must hit a rail/be pocketed. But the fans/players/promoters have spoken overwhelmingly against the bird break.

It's funny you mention slow play because it looks like you're standing with Darren Appleton in your avatar pic and after watching quite a few of his taped matches recently, I think he's the slowest pro player I've ever watched play. Just had to point out the irony from my own perspective.

You think DAZ is slow? lol. I guess you've never seen Charlie Williams play.

I felt Kazikas played great. He made some very good outs and yes, he got some very good rolls when getting out of Shane's safeties. He played better, deserved to win I don't know if the break rule came into play. BUT .I don't like the many changes made concerning the break. Let's call it what it is....'the CORY Rule'.....now he has figured out the 8 ball rack and that break too. No reward for his mental efforts ...the rules will be changed for 8 ball soon is what I'm thinking. I just don't feel right about changing anything just because someone figured out a better way to approach the break puzzle.

Shane has probably been on the lemon all week over there looking to take off the rail in the match up. JT

If Shane had won there would be no problem with the breaking rules ,, funny how that works

+1 LOL
Soon someone will blame the streaming as it cut off when he was taking his shot after breaking and when stream came on it was open table for Kazakis to run out the match
Maybe Shane plays best when camera is on :) Shane will be past to make excuses for his loss.

Yes Charlie Williams is probably the slowest . At a WPC years ago, some tot it was a tactic to frustrate his opponent. He is a better promoter, commentator than he is a player :)
