Playing the continent of Europe is always going to be an uphill battle with the current available American talent. There’s a big drop off after Fedor and Shane. And Shane typically hasn’t played well. A lot of years in the Mosconi. On the other hand, Europe has about 7 to 8 guys to choose from that could beat the USA team.
Yeah completely agree. I watched from the beginning for about the first hour continuously and couldn’t believe how quickly they were changing. I actually thought the odds were wrong, so I checked with the FargoRate app and they were indeed correct. Surprised as hell.

I also feel like Shane gives up to some degree. Both in the last race to 120 vs Fedor and this one he seemed to go limp and listless almost conceding when he still had a reasonable chance.Shane is laying an egg today

IMO SVB may be stroking the sponsors/MR on this. He's always been, and always will be, a 'lone wolf' type of player. Team play has never been his bag and his play often shows it pretty clearly. One's greatness is achieved in tournament play over time and in this regard SVB answers to no one. I'd love for someone to tell me just how the MC is such a 'greatness decider' when NO asian players compete in it. Seriously, its an exhibition made for tv by MR.
