I think gxman is talking about Alexander Kazakis. He and SVB played a couple of money sets prior to the Ekonomopoulos match, and Kazakis won.

And then Kazakis knocked SVB out of the ensuing "Different 9-Ball Open 2014."

I'd hate to pick a winner if this matchup happened. I'd just sit back & enjoy the show.

Shane reaching an age where he's tiring of the pool life, Shaw at or near his peak and still hungry. That may factor in.
 
10 Ball Shane versus Shaw - this would be a great match right now.

I would take Shane in 10 ball, break from the box. My guess is the Action Room would favor Shane with money odds, but I expect there would be many who would take Shaw.

I really wouldn't like them to play 9 ball at all. I have no interest in that match.

I would route for SVB to smoke his %$$. I think Shaw is a great shot but can't stand his presentation
