Let's be fair

if Shane stopped by snookers to play Mike a quick set to 15, and Shane and they both play out of the box cold,,,, Shane is gonna be lost!!! But,,, let Shane play the table for an hr or so, he will be all set! The table plays pretty tough, but I'm sure Shane will adjust rather quickly!
And as far as I'm concerned, all short races and the levels that those to beasts play at is pick ems match!! The long sets is where the skill comes in!
Also, tournement play is much different than gambling imho

personally, I don't care for tournament wins! I've won a tourney with Mike and couple other local beasts myself! In no way shape or form am even in the same galaxy with those guys! I'm just a B player who got lucky in a tournament! For me, it's the after hrs where the real skill shows up
One more thing, I'm fairly confident Shane would quickly break well on that table! He does break better than Mike and he also learns rather quickly
