SVB World Champion Interview

When I grew up it's customary to say The complete wording of the Subject matter at hand.

Noooooooooooooo. instead nowadaze they talk about the DLF , taking care of the IDRV who's fighting with VRLO group outta the MGRD division.

Every time I read something, then I have to google the short version to help understand WTF they are trying to Say?
That's customary now, but it NEVER was.

Using CAPS all the time is VERY unclear and so the new wayzzzzzz of saying something are seemingly in the short version, why can't they just say the words right outta the gate?

What I've realized, many nowadays are not good at spelling. I've seen more spelling errors in todays media in one year, than I saw in the Chicago Sun Times and Chicago Tribune newspapers combined in 15 yrs of reading em in my youth.

Yep FB their just wingin' it.
At best.

I’m horrible at interviews, I’ve only done a couple. I was horrible, reason being is like anything it takes practice and training.

For example tiger woods, his first few interviews were horrible. Then after a abort period of time when they realized Tiger was the real deal-his interviews improved a bit. Then with some more practice and a PR firms help, he was a great interview, said all the right things and engaged his audience. That was a product of coaching & practice. It’s not automatic.

Some people are naturally more adept and well spoken and might be a good interview quicker.

Another thing to ponder is how SVB was feeling. He’s played pool effectively his whole life-his goal was a WC. I know-HE TOLD ME. Not guessing about that. How good can a guy talk or gives a shit about talking when he’s on cloud 9,10,10,12 right after he realizes a life long dream that required him sacrificing so much to get there? That’s the last thing I’d want is someone demanding answers me from in that moment of my life. Or some walk down memory lane as to how I got there! The tourney is over, he won. Let him enjoy HIS moment.

The next day, ask him all those questions. When you win you have a wonderful feeling. Reliving being a billion games behind Shaw is the LAST thing SVB wanted to talk about. And it’s in the books, can discuss it later.

How do you feel? That’s the interview right there. I think it was clear how he felt-leave the man alone. The pressure is off. No better feeling in the world. And a horrible time to talk about how you got there when it’s documented. We all saw the same thing.

Look at Ronnie in snooker. Wine year after winning the WC the first or 2nd sentence he said was “I’m up & down like a whores drawers in life”. He was still by the snooker table. Was around 10-12 years ago I was Germany watching. I couldn’t believe he said that. And he’s had coaching and does good interviews. But at that moment he didn’t want a mic in his face.

These guys are pool players, not media presenters and we shouldn’t expect much from them after a major victory, especially their first WC.

SVB did just fine and he won💪🇺🇸

Best

You waste a lot of words when simply saying “I’m too lazy” would have worked just fine.

Explain ''I'm too lazy statement''.
I don't understand, ar your wanting to argue/or?
Not gonna get one here if that's your directive.
Just trying to understand WHY, constant verbiage of life in the short form is better.
And, HOW its helps my grandkids/any new learners understand the meanings behind the Short form ''LS''?

I didn't make that statement, but maybe I can help explain it.

-You made a specific complaint about a very specific interview.
-Others clicked on your thread because they wanted to see if they agreed or disagreed.
-You made another post wondering why nobody was commenting.
-They asked you to post a link to the video you watched.
-You told them to look it up.

It would have taken you maybe 30 extra seconds to post the link. Like someone else pointed out, it's customary. It's also beneficial to you if you actually want others to view the interview and provide their thoughts.

Easy eeeeeee, it's the post #24 from KAP1976
right above my post. Has nothing to do with any of yours.
But I get it.
Ironically I did that awhile back about an AMAZING cue ball movement shot that KACI did....then U tube auto/deleted that from the OP.

WWYD....Kaci Vs Ghorst

Nah, with all you internet people, I've still got flip phone living in a canyon in the CO mtns, and figure you can handle the pressure/inconvience/time wasted, to look at UTube to see/hear/feel the interview.
Often you don't even provide enough information to be able to search and find said video or whatever it is. For example, was it on youtube or facebook, and if on facebook, whose facebook, and what is the right spelling for their facebook page (or else you will never find their page)? Etc. As others have pointed out it is customary to provide the link to what you are talking about and not doing so is considered bad form.

But it isn't even in your best interest when you don't provide the link. Here you are trying to discuss something and the majority of your potential audience can't even participate in whatever conversation you are trying to have because they haven't seen said video (and most of them are not going to be able to find it, or it it won't be worth it to them to bother trying to begin with--especially with only limited info), but if you had just included the link in your post a big portion will click it and watch and now they can also participate in the conversation with you or answer the question you had or whatever was the case and your audience won't be so limited.

I get it!!!!!!!!!!
Wait till your 73 and the generations below you roll completely different and your being told what tah do :).
In truth/ really...
Thx guys for all the 21st century education.
Now if your out my way, I'll be glad to educate/bet it up with on my GCI, totally restored by Dave Isaccs/Ft. Collins.
