sw or ???

Might be a sw from 85' or 86'.....but impossible to tell without seeing it in person, just my opinion...

Could be a lot of things. If its one of a couple things someone is gonna make a score if it goes in the current range....if its not one of those things someone is gonna have an expensive tomato stake.

Don't wanna piss off any uber-flippers by stating too many opinions so I'll just wait around till someone does and enjoy the show.

It's one of those kc cues that were southwest knock offs

They sold for about $150 when they first came out, i'm not sure if they are still in production I believe they were imports( maybe chinese)

At the price this auction is going...it looks to be an expensive china knock off (if it is a knock off). Definitely not an old cue or SW but it looks to be a quality built cue. If I had to guess, it probably an earlier Mike Stacey cue.

It's a brass pin. looks like a China knock-off.

i was in for 75

i thought the butt plate looked too small to be anything from the SW camp, plus it doesn't look vintage at all to me. So i think it's a new, cue with no shafts, for over 400 bucks? no thanks

looking at the pin (looks new) and the butt sleeve i don't feel its a sw, good luck on those who bid, but the whole butt looks nice am sure its a solid hitter because of the ebony forearm (maybe) :)

Reverse psychology?

I wonder of all the people posting "cheap Chinese knock-off", how many are secretly bidding on the cue.

Looks like a Rick Howard to me.

99% sure it's not one of Rick's cues.

But, who knows what it is from such crappy pics (intentional???)?

I asked him to remove the rubber bumper and take pix of the inside of the bumper. He said he could not get the bumper out of the cue.

the seller also is selling a josswest, which suggest to me he has the know how to authenticate a cue or get one authenricated and has decided (knows) that this cue would sell higher if potential buyers didn't know what it was..just a theory

I think i remember this seller from years ago, sold me a southwest cue for $1500, this was a few years ago. I ended up sending the cue back to pay pal and they made the determination that it was, in deed , a knock off , chinese cue.
I do remember the seller telling me he purchased it in nevada along with a few others, and truly thought it was a southwest, however, i looked at his other auctions and he did have some real authentic cues ( joss west, etc), at least from what what shown in his pictures, which told me he knew all along what it was.
