Just like to say thanks to jay and all for putting on this event... I have to say playing in this event brought my game up, even though I did not place in the money my cheering section congratulated me on my increased focus and shot selection in my matches.
My only disappointment was not playing with the measle ball not because I wanted to use it, but because we had practiced with it for 4 weeks prior to the event.
loved the atmosphere, the people, the tables (downstairs) and most of all the competition.......thanks again guys and see you at the next one.

I think it's awesome Mitch won. He is a great guy and as awesome pool player. This is one of many. IMO.

BVal, I agree.

It is good to see a 22 year old with Mitch's talent who shows some respect for his opponent without losing the necessary tenacity and drive to demolish their fellow player.

Unfortunately most up and coming young players his age are still trying to emulate the left over, byegone days of the 60's American pool hustler and somehow think that it helps their image (or their bankroll).

Mitch obviously has figured this out, that conducting yourself like a professional (even before you are one) is the necessary prerequisite to marketability and product endorsement sponsorship. (Oscar D. also clearly exemplifies this understanding).


Congrats Mitch and good luck in Vegas this weekend !

I still think that Mitch is one of the best young players I've ever seen. Reminds me a lot (talent wise) of a young Earl. He just has a great natural ability and seems to be able to make balls from anywhere!

I also had the pleasure of watching Oscar here in Phoenix not too long ago, and I was also very impressed with his game (as well as that awesome Prewitt cue he uses!).

I would imagine that these guys will meet quite a few times in the future...

Congratulations to you both on your fine showing!!!

I was fortunate to play in this. This is as nice a venue as I have ever seen anywhere. Great job running the tournement, nicest place with tables that I have ever played in and I'm quite sure the pockets on table 16 are 4" or under. Some great players, the top finishers worked through a tough field. P.S. In my avatar, I feel like the one on the left.

The table nearest the video games is the tightest in the room @ 4.00" or under.

I thought that someone posted up a while back that most of the tables downstairs were either 4" or 4 1/8".

Next time I am there I will measure them.

They seem very similar to my table which has Ernesto's 4 inchers.
