Texting players their match info is an option on our CTS system. This event is not using the CTS software for a couple of reasons.

Next year it probably will.

All of the US Bar Table in Reno will be using the full system so everyone can watch the progress of all the divisions.

Btw- the Swanee is way to fast a pace to worry about texting people. You only have 2 minutes to get to your table! The price of doing 192 player event in 2 days.

I called Hard Times today to find out when they were opening the doors...and they said 9am because the tournament starts at 10am. But your post below says you will have matches going by 9:30am...so there is clearly some miscommunication with the Hard Times staff.

Just wanted to give you a heads up so you can call them and advise them the correct information.

There was a mini once or twice for Friday night. It would fill up and some staff and players were up till 4am.

Rough start for a long weekend- lol.

After all, we start early on Saturday.
Usually all tables have matches on them by 9:30 am.

Btw- draw is done it will be posted at Hard Times tonight.
No online brackets ths year - but all our remote web based stuff will do it next year!

Gonna be a tough field.

Add: I think what they have done in the past is when they have players checked in on the list, they start calling off their matches so they can hit the ground running.

Melissa- thanks for the concern, but Chris is correct.

Doors open at 9.
We try to start matches as soon as both players are on the premises.
A couple of years we have had every table going with a match by 9:20.
This saves us time.

Official start time is 10 am.

As far as I know, there is no admission charge for the first day.

I believe there was a charge for the 2 nd day- which was the top 48 players.

I was informed by Eddie that there will be a small ($10 I think) admission charge for the first ( and probably) 2nd day.

Still pretty good deal with the field present this year.
