Does anyone know what pros will be at the Swanee? I heard Efren was supposed to be there but then heard he already left LA?

Efren won't be there. Archer MIGHT be there. I heard rumors about Schmidt showing up. I would bet on the Ca. pros being there...Morro, Tang, Ernesto and Oscar, Max Eberle, Dave Hemmah, etc.

On most years, the top California players attend the Swanee. One year we had 35 players from Arizona.
As far as pros, unfortunately I do not know what the term means. I have heard rumors that TOP players may be there. I know Archer (last years winner) will not be present.
I have heard Efren, Schmidt, might be. Possible other Philipinos. But it is always a great event and is becoming a 'social happening' as much as a pool tournament. This is the only time some people see each other.
On the underage situation. This facility serves alcohol. I do not know their policy on children. I do believe if underage is allowed, they will be asked to leave by early evening - if they are a spectator. If they are are player, we could probably schedule the matches so they will know where they are before they might be asked to leave.
DO NOT rely on a post here about children being able to attend. Situations change and this is a liquor license. Noone can expect them to jeopardize that asset by allowing a couple of underage people in the door.
I hope everyone understands. This will be a GREAT event. We have presigned close to 70 people which is 10% or so above last year. It CLOSES at 192 and might fill up - so go to Hollywoood Billiards and sign up if interested.

I just called Hollywood Billiards. The guy said he would find out what the official policy is going to be and anyone who wants to know about minors being allowed should call tomorrow and ask for a manager. They are now aware that a number of people need a definitive answer on this question.
