Switching from a custom back to a production....HELP

I need some help guys. Im thinking about selling my blackcreek and making a switch back to a production cue. I was thinking something along the lines of the Mezz EC-7 series or a Predator QR-2 or P3. My cue has an Ivory joint on it and im just worried about possibly making the switch back to stainless steel. I would rather switch to something that has a wood to wood joint or something similar. I would love to hear input on making the switch and what people think of these cues. Im just not sure what to do and i need some advice. Thanks in advance!
 
I have a Blackcreek custom & a Schon STL-20 with OB-2 shaft, & I have no problem alternating between the two.
 
Cue Switch

I recently switched from a Rauenzahn Custom Cue with a Predator 314/2 shaft to a Mezz Z101 with a Mezz WD700 shaft relatively inexpensive production cue. My Rauenzahn had an ivory joint and my Mezz has a black fibre joint and I honestly can't tell the difference. I am well pleased with the Mezz. Hope this helps.

Is it straight? Does it have a decent tip? The cue only does what you make it do. I have several thousand dollar custom cues and cheaper production cues. What ever you get used to is what you will play best with. How did Earl play so well over the weekend without a laminated shaft?

Tim were you in dayton in Oct. I think I met you. I had my Hercek cues on display. I agree with you I play with my Herceks that have Ivory joints and can switch to my blackboar that is SS with no problems.

Don't think that was me, haven't been to OH in a couple years.
